Rupai Siding
Rupai Siding is a fast developing township situated in the district of Tinsukia in Assam,(in North East) India. The place is approximately 540 km from the state capital. It was a small village about 50 years ago, which is now the Industrial Township surrounded by numerous Tea gardens and Factories and Other Allied Industries. It is said that it had one of the oldest railway tracks until few years back which was used by the Britishers to transport goods and materials. This railway track connects Dibrugarh to Dangari and runs through Rupai and hence the place is a siding and came to be known as RUPAI SIDING. The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government sector public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. National Cadet Corps (India)
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
