Alex Doolan
Alexander James Doolan (born 29 November 1985) is an Australian former cricketer, who played domestic cricket for Tasmania from 2009 to 2021 and played four Test matches for Australia in 2014. Despite almost scoring a century on debut, Doolan was dropped after his fourth match and never returned to the national team. He retired from cricket in 2021. As of December 2022, Doolan is the eighth-highest Sheffield Shield run-scorer of all-time for Tasmania. Early career Doolan played domestic cricket for his home state of Tasmania and became their regular number three batter. Daithi Doolan (born 13 May 1968, Cork) is an Irish politician. A member of Sinn Féin, he is a councillor on Dublin City Council. Election results Local elections As Sinn Féin candidate in the 1999 local elections for the Dublin South East Inner City, Doolan polled 13.38%, coming fourth and missing out on a seat by 62 votes. In 2004 Doolan recontested in the area polling 24.11%, securing the second position. In the 2009 election he polled 11.9% and lost his seat by 259 votes. At the 2014 elections, Doolan contested in the Dublin Ballyfermot Drimnagh area, and topped the poll with 19.28%. Edwin Myer Doolan MBE (20 July 1941 – 16 January 2018) was an Australian born naturalised British radio presenter who was a veteran of Birmingham's first commercial radio station BRMB, and subsequently the BBC. At the BBC he presented a weekly show trawling through his broadcast archives from noon until 1 pm on BBC WM on Sunday lunchtime. He was honoured by the British Radio Academy, earning a place in the Radio Hall of Fame. He was presented with Honorary Doctorates from Birmingham's three universities and was the first person to have ever achieved that honour. John Doolan (born 7 May 1974) is an English football coach and former player. Club career Doolan began his career as a trainee with the club he supports, Everton in 1992. He was released by Everton and joined Football League Third Division side Mansfield Town on a free transfer in September 1994. He made 151 appearances in all competitions for Mansfield in four seasons, scoring 14 goals, before joining Football League Third Division team Barnet in 1998. He signed for £60,000 and made 199 appearances in all competitions for Barnet, scoring 13 goals, in five seasons during which Barnet were relegated to the Football Conference in May 2001. Peter Doolan
Peter Doolan (born 1940 in Cork, Ireland) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club St Finbarr's and was a member at senior level of the Cork county team from 1962 until 1968. Playing career Club Doolan played his club hurling with the St Finbarr's club on the southside of Cork city and had much success. He won his first county senior championship winners' medal in 1965 following 'the Barr's' 6-8 to 2-5 defeat of UCC. The club later represented Cork in the provincial club series and een reached the final. A 3-12 to 2-3 defeat of Waterford's Mount Sion gave Doolan a Munster club winners' medal. Rear Admiral Kenneth Allan Doolan, (born 15 January 1939) is an Australian naval officer, author, and is the former national president of the Returned and Services League of Australia (RSL). John Doolan (born 10 November 1968) is an English football player and coach. He is currently the First Team Coach at Accrington Stanley. Born in Liverpool, he played for Wigan Athletic between 1992 and 1996. Having worked at both Liverpool and Everton Academies He was appointed as Wigan's youth team coach in November 2011, following the departure of Dave Watson. Wendy Doolan (born 16 December 1968) is a former Australian professional golfer who played mainly on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. Doolan was born in Sydney, Australia.
