Alex Doolan
Alexander James Doolan (born 29 November 1985) is an Australian former cricketer, who played domestic cricket for Tasmania from 2009 to 2021 and played four Test matches for Australia in 2014. Despite almost scoring a century on debut, Doolan was dropped after his fourth match and never returned to the national team. He retired from cricket in 2021. As of December 2022, Doolan is the eighth-highest Sheffield Shield run-scorer of all-time for Tasmania. Early career Doolan played domestic cricket for his home state of Tasmania and became their regular number three batter. He was playing for the team in the 2010–11 Sheffield Shield season, and was at the crease when teammate Mark Cosgrove hit the winning runs to give Tasmania their second-ever Sheffield Shield title. Spin bowling is a bowling technique in cricket, in which the ball is delivered slowly but with the potential to deviate sharply after bouncing. The bowler is referred to as a spinner. Centurion Park is a cricket ground in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. It is also known as SuperSport Park since television company Supersport bought shares in the stadium. The 2013–14 Ashes (named Commonwealth Bank Ashes Series for sponsorship reasons) was a Test cricket series between England and Australia. The five venues for the series were the Brisbane Cricket Ground, the Adelaide Oval, the WACA Ground, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Sydney Cricket Ground. The New South Wales men's cricket team (formerly named NSW Blues) are an Australian men's professional first class cricket team based in Sydney, New South Wales. 2011–12 Sheffield Shield Season
The 2011–12 Sheffield Shield season is the 110th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition of Australia. The season began on 11 October 2011, with Queensland playing Victoria, and concluded on 19 March 2012 with the top two teams playing off in the final. Teams * New South Wales will also host one match at Bankstown Oval in Sydney and Manuka Oval in Canberra.
