Donie Buckley
Donie Buckley (born early 1960s) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player. He played at full forward with his local club Castleisland Desmonds but never with the Kerry county team. His coaching has taken him all along the western coast from Clare to Galway, to Limerick, Kerry and Mayo. Career Buckley scored a last-minute goal for Castleisland Desmonds in the final of the 1985 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship to defeat St Vincents. Soon after retiring from playing he became involved in coaching. His coaching career began in Clare where he led Milltown Malbay in 1990 and Faughs in 1994 to Clare Senior Football Championships. He served as joint manager with Michael Brennan of the Clare county team in 2006. He then moved on to the Galway county team, working as forwards coach under the management of Peter Ford for a year. Daniel Cassidy (born 15 September 1945) is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served as Leader of the Seanad from 2007 to 2011. He served as a Senator for the Labour Panel from 1982 to 2002 and 2007 to 2011 and a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Westmeath constituency from 2002 to 2007. Donie Murphy
Donal Murphy (1929 – 16 April 2010) was an Irish Gaelic footballer who played at club level with Killarney Legion and at inter-county level with the Kerry senior football team. He usually lined out as a defender. Career Murphy first came to Gaelic football prominence as a member of the Killarney Legion club, with whom he won a County Championship title in 1946. He later won a Sigerson Cup title with University College Galway in 1949 before winning a second County Championship title with the Dick Fitzgeralds club in 1951. Murphy first appeared on the inter-county scene during a two-year stint with the Kerry minor football team and won an All-Ireland Minor Championship title in 1946. He was drafted onto the Kerry senior football team in 1948, however, his career was blighted by illness. Daniel Joseph O'Donovan (31 January 1926 – 28 May 1999) was an Irish Gaelic football manager and player. He played football with his local club St. Nicholas' and was a member of the Cork senior inter-county team from 1948 until 1955. O'Donovan managed Cork to the All-Ireland title in 1973. Donie Ryan (born 26 December 1976) is an Irish former hurler. At club level he played with Garryspillane and was also a member of the Limerick senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a forward. Career Ryan first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Garryspillane club and had a career that spanned 25 years with the club's top adult team. During that time, he won three County Championship titles in three different grades, including a County Senior Championship title in 2005. Ryan first came to prominence on the inter-county scene at the underage and intermediate levels with Limerick. He joined his brother, T. J. Ryan, on the Limerick senior hurling team for the Oireachtas Cup in 1997, however, it was 2002 before he established himself on the team. Scott Richard Donie (born October 10, 1968, in Vicenza, Italy) is an American diver. He earned the silver medal in the 1992 Summer Olympics on the 10 m platform, and placed 4th in the 3 m springboard at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Donie has lived and trained in New Jersey and Texas. He also lived and trained in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1992. He is a six-time Age Group National Diving Champion and a two-time National Senior Champion. He received a bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University in 1990. The Donie Church ( ro, Biserica Adormirea Maicii Domnului - Donie) is a Romanian Orthodox church located at 6 Maior Gheorghe Pastia Street in Focșani, Romania. It is dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos. The church is named after its ''ktetor'', a Captain Donie of the border guards. It is trefoil in shape, with an originally open porch, a narthex, nave and altar. The porch initially featured semicircular arches resting on round stone columns. The facades are divided into two registers by a row of bricks above the windows. The area under the roof is slightly profiled, and features a row of cloverleaf-shaped recesses painted with saints’ portraits. The windows are surrounded by stone frames richly decorated with plant motifs.Description
