Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor
Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Group, located in the city of Liuzhou, Guangxi, China. Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor was founded in 1954 and entered the field of automobile production in 1969. It manufactures passenger cars sold in China under the brand Dongfeng Forthing (Fengxing, ); these include the Jingyi small multi-purpose vehicle also known as Joyear, the Jingyi S50 sedan and the S500 large multi-purpose vehicle, as well as two types of vans, the Ling Zhi (also known as Future) and the CM7. Some of these models are also sold in Latin American markets such as Chile and Peru under the brands Dongfeng, DFM or DFLZ. The Forthing CM7 is an MPV or light commercial, 4-door van produced by Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor under the Forthing or originally the Dongfeng Fengxing sub-brand. Overview The CM7 debuted on the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show and was launched in the market later in the same year. The Fengxing CM7 is powered by a Mitsubishi 4G69 2.4 liter inline-4 engine producing 150hp mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A variant will also be available with a 2.0 liter turbocharged diesel engine, mated to the same 5-speed manual gearbox. The styling of the body was heavily inspired by the second generation Hyundai Starex with a front DRG design inspired by the second generation Toyota Alphard. The Forthing Jingyi X5 is a compact CUV produced by Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor under the Jingyi product series of the Forthing (Dongfeng Fengxing) sub-brand. First generation (Fengxing Jingyi X5 I) The first generation Dongfeng Fengxing Jingyi X5 was originally named simply Dongfeng Fengxing Jingyi. It was a compact MPV produced by Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor under the Dongfeng Fengxing sub-brand based on a modified chassis of the Mitsubishi Grandis. The only engine for the Jingyi is a 1.6 liter with 122hp and 155nm, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
