Donald Weber (photographer)
Donald Weber (born 1973) is a Canadian photographer who focuses on the effects of world power. He is a member of VII Photo Agency. Weber's books include ''Bastard Eden, Our Chernobyl'' (2008), ''Interrogations'' (2011), ''Barricade: The EuroMaidan Revolt'' (with Arthur Bondar, 2015) and ''War Sand'' (2017). Weber has had solo exhibitions at Phodar Foundation, Pleven, Bulgaria; Pikto Gallery, Toronto, Canada; and Alice Austen House, New York City. He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, a World Press Photo Award, the Lange-Taylor Prize, a Sony World Photography Award and the Duke and Duchess of York Prize in Photography. Gerry Badger
Gerald David "Gerry" Badger (born 1946) is an English writer and curator of photography, and a photographer. In 2018 he received the J Dudley Johnston Award from the Royal Photographic Society. Life and career Badger was born in 1946 in Northampton. Magnum Foundation is a non-profit, photographic foundation located in New York City with a mission to expand diversity and creativity in documentary photography. ''Photo District News'' (or ''PDN'') was an American monthly trade publication for professional photographers. ''PDN'' was first published in 1980. The publication took its name from New York City's photo district, an area of photo businesses that was once located in Flatiron District. Its closure was announced on 28 January 2020. Anastasia Taylor-Lind
Anastasia Taylor-Lind (born 1981) is an English/Swedish photojournalist. She works for leading editorial publications globally on issues relating to women, population and war. She has lived in Damascus, Beirut, Kiev and New York City and is now based in London. As a photographic storyteller, Taylor-Lind's work has focused on long-form narrative reportage for monthly magazines. Third Floor Gallery
Third Floor Gallery was an independent charitable photography gallery in Cardiff Bay, Wales. It opened in 2010 and predominantly featured documentary photography, often premiering new work with the direct involvement of the photographers. It closed in 2016. Third Floor Gallery was set up and initially run by its founding trustees, photographers Maciej Dakowicz and Joni Karanka, and later photographer Bartosz Nowickii, with help from volunteers. It continued to be self-run with volunteer staff and was self-financed through various grassroots sources. It was noted for its use of social networking for engaging with visitors and volunteers at a time when that was not common place for galleries. Maciej Dakowicz
Maciej Dakowicz (born 20 November 1976) is a Polish street photographer, photojournalist and gallerist. He is from Białystok in North East Poland. Dakowicz is best known for his series of photographs of Cardiff night-life titled ''Cardiff after Dark''. He and others set up and ran Third Floor Gallery in Cardiff and he was a member of the In-Public street photography collective. Life and work Dakowicz studied computer science in Poland (2000). He lived in Cardiff, Wales, between 2004 and 2012, where he worked and studied for his PhD at the University of Glamorgan (now the University of South Wales) (2010) where he also worked.
