Donald McLeary
Donald McLeary (born 27 November 1973) is a Scottish actor, author and writer. He is best known for writing popular podcast ''Fags, Mags and Bags'' and starring as school teacher Mickey John in CBeebies show '' Me Too!''. Career McLeary grew up in Rutherglen, Scotland, and currently works and lives in the city of Glasgow. From 2006 to 2007, McLeary played school teacher Mickey John in popular children's television programme '' Me Too!'', which aired on CBeebies. He is titled as Donald Cameron in the cast list. McLeary has starred and co-written Radio 4 comedy Fags, Mags and Bags since 2007, airing on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds. He plays the part of Dave Legg. Donald has also provided material for Scottish comedy Chewin' the Fat. Fags, Mags And Bags
''Fags, Mags and Bags'' is a Scottish radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Its first series was nominated for a Sony Radio Award. The writers, Sanjeev Kohli and Donald McLeary, received a Writers Guild Award in November 2008 for Radio Comedy of the Year. The theme music for the show is "Smiling" by the Beta Band. In September 2017 the producer Gus Beattie revealed the list of other tracks considered for the theme, which included songs by The Go! Team, The Fratellis and The Breeders, among many others. On 4 October 2013 it was announced on the Official Facebook page that the episode "Meter Reading Chic" would be the final episode of the show. ''Me Too!'' is a British live action educational television programme for preschool children broadcast on BBC Two and CBeebies from September 2006 to March 2007 and is set in the fictional city of Riverseafingal in Scotland, though in reality the programme was filmed in North Berwick, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Newcastle upon Tyne and Manchester. The round school in the programme is a real school situated in Gourock, called Gourock Primary School. ''Me Too!'' was produced by Glasgow based production company Tattiemoon. ''Chewin' the Fat'' is a Scottish comedy sketch show, starring Ford Kiernan, Greg Hemphill and Karen Dunbar.
