Don Wilson (pastor)
Donald Wilson (born 1949, Alta Vista, Kansas) is the founder and was the senior pastor of Christ's Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona, one of the largest churches in the United States, with an average attendance of nearly 28,000 a week across 9 locations. On January 28, 2017, Wilson announced his retirement, effective October 29, 2017. Education Wilson attended Manhattan Christian College, Kansas State University, and earned his Ph.D. from the California Graduate School of Theology. Wilson and CCV Don is the founder of Christ's Church of the Valley, which has been in existence since 1982; he began services in a rented movie theatre. Since that time, Christ's Church of the Valley has held services in an elementary school, a strip mall, and a building known as ‘The Castle’. Alta Vista, Kansas
Alta Vista is a city in Wabaunsee County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population of the city was 409. History Alta Vista was founded in 1887, and it was incorporated as a city in 1905. Alta Vista is derived from the Spanish word for "high view", and the city was so named from its lofty elevation. In 1887, the Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railway built a main line from Topeka, Kansas, Topeka through Alta Vista to Herington, Kansas, Herington. The Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railway was foreclosed in 1891 and taken over by Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway, which shut down in 1980 and reorganized as Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas Railroad, merged in 1988 with Missouri Pacific Railroad, merged in 1997 with Union Pacific Railroad. Kansas

Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV) is a non-denominational Christian church megachurch located in Metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona. The church has several campuses in Arizona. Weekend church attendance was 32,000. History Christ's Church of the Valley was founded by pastor Dr. Donald Wilson in 1982 with services held in a rented movie theater. Christ's Church of the Valley also held services in an elementary school and a strip mall for a short period of time. In 1996, Christ's Church of the Valley found a permanent home, after raising over $1 million in one day to purchase 50 acres of land in the northwest Phoenix. History The California Graduate School of Theology was founded and chartered in the state of California in 1969 by William S. McBirnie, an ordained Southern Baptist pastor, author, and educator.
