Don Pendleton (artist)
Don Pendleton (born 1970 in Ravenswood, West Virginia) is an American artist and designer. Pendleton is most widely recognized for the large body of skateboard graphics and for the artwork of Pearl Jam's tenth studio album, '' Lightning Bolt''. Life and work Don Pendleton grew up in Ravenswood, a rural town in West Virginia, two miles from Ripley. Influenced by his father, he started focusing on art at an early age. During Don's teen years, he was introduced to skateboarding and fell in love with it. Pendleton graduated from Marshall University (Huntington, WV) in 1994 with a BFA in Graphic Design. In 1998, Don took a position with Alien Workshop skateboards in Dayton, OH. Pendleton created the majority of the companies graphics between the years of 1998 and 2005. Jeff Ament
Jeffrey Allen Ament (born March 10, 1963) is an American musician and songwriter who is best known as the bassist of the American rock band Pearl Jam, which he co-founded alongside Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder. Prior to his work with Pearl Jam, Ament was part of the 1980s Seattle-based grunge rock bands Green River and Mother Love Bone. He is known particularly for playing with the fretless bass, upright bass, and twelve-string bass guitars. Ament is also a member of the bands Temple of the Dog, Three Fish, RNDM, and Tres Mts, and P.E.S.T. In 2008, Ament released his first solo album, '' Tone''. His second solo release, ''While My Heart Beats'', followed in 2012, and his third in 2018: '' Heaven/Hell''. Cubism
Cubism is an early-20th-century avant-garde art movement that revolutionized European painting and sculpture, and inspired related movements in music, literature and architecture. In Cubist artwork, objects are analyzed, broken up and reassembled in an abstracted form—instead of depicting objects from a single viewpoint, the artist depicts the subject from a multitude of viewpoints to represent the subject in a greater context. Natas Kaupas
Natas Kaupas (born March 23, 1969) is an American former professional skateboarder. He grew up in South Santa Monica, California, in the area known as Dogtown, and is of Lithuanian descent. He is often referred to as one of the first true professional street skateboarders. Early 1980s Kaupas began skating during his childhood years. In 1983 Kaupas won a local Santa Monica surfing contest and received a Santa Monica Airlines (SMA) skateboard as a first place prize. SMA was operated out of the back of a surfshop owned by Skip Engblom. Kaupas approached Engblom about becoming a member of his skate team, which did not exist.
