Don Bartlett
Donald Bartlett (born April 1, 1960) is a Canadian curler who lives in Edmonton, Alberta. Bartlett is best known for his many years playing lead for Kevin Martin. In 1999 Bartlett's home town became host the Don Bartlett Curling Classic. Now an annual curling bonspiel, the tournament attracts many teams from across Canada as well as a number of international competitors. Career Don Bartlett played lead for Kevin Martin beginning in 1990. It was in 1991 that the team won the Brier that year. The team would win the 1997 Brier. Internationally, Bartlett has been to two World Curling Championships and two Winter Olympics. At the 1991 Worlds, Martin,third Kevin Park and second Dan Petryk won a silver medal. At the 1992 Winter Olympics (demonstration), the team finished in fourth place. In 1997, the team now consisting of Don Walchuk at third and Rudy Ramcharan at second placed fourth. Lance Dealy
A lance is a spear designed to be used by a mounted warrior or cavalry soldier (lancer). In ancient and medieval warfare, it evolved into the leading weapon in cavalry charges, and was unsuited for throwing or for repeated thrusting, unlike similar weapons of the javelin and pike family typically used by infantry. Lances were often equipped with a vamplate, a small circular plate to prevent the hand sliding up the shaft upon impact, and beginning in the late 14th century were used in conjunction with a lance rest attached to the breastplate. Randy S. Ferbey (born May 30, 1959) is a Canadian retired curler from Sherwood Park, Alberta. Ferbey is a six-time Canadian champion and a four-time World Champion. He currently coaches the Rachel Homan women's team. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Ferbey notably popularized the system of having the skip throw third rocks, when he skipped the team nicknamed "the Ferbey Four", a team with which he won four Briers (2001, 2002, 2003, 2005) and narrowly missed winning the 2004 final after giving up a 7–3 lead to Mark Dacey. Donald J. Walchuk (born March 6, 1963 in Melville, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian curling, curler from Edmonton, Alberta. For many years Walchuk played third for Kevin Martin (curler), Kevin Martin's team. On Martin's rink, Walchuk was known especially for his "high heat" - his big-weight takeout shots. Curling career Walchuk played for Pat Ryan (curler), Pat Ryan as his Lead (curling), lead (1985–1986) and his Second (curling), second (1987–1989). With Ryan, Walchuk won four provincial championships, two Tim Hortons Brier, Briers (1988, 1989) and a World Curling Championships, World Championship (1989).
