Don Furner
Don Furner (26 December 1932 – 24 February 2020) was an Australian rugby league footballer and coach. As a player, he represented Queensland on nine occasions and also toured with the 1956–57 Kangaroos. He began his coaching career as a player-coach with Junee in 1964. In that year, the team won their first Group 9 grand final as well as the Maher Cup. In 1965 he began coaching the Queanbeyan Blues, guiding that club to three successive Group 8 premierships (1965–67) and a further two Grand Finals (1968–69). He coached the Eastern Suburbs Roosters (1970–72), whom he took to the 1972 NSWRFL season's premiership final. He returned to the Queanbeyan Blues from 1973 to 1981, his team reaching the Grand Final in each of those nine seasons, including six premierships and a Clayton Cup win in 1974. Condobolin
Condobolin is a town in the west of the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia, on the Lachlan River. At the , Condobolin had a population of 3,486. History Prior to European settlement, the area was inhabited by the Wiradjuri people. The name Condobolin is suggested by some to have evolved from the Aboriginal word Cundabullen — shallow crossing. The crossing was located a short distance below the junction of the Lachlan River and the Goobang Creek. Others suggest that the town's name from the Wiradjuri word for 'hop bush', or 'hop brush'. The area was explored by John Oxley in 1817 and Thomas Mitchell in 1836. The 'Condoublin' run was established by 1844. There had been squatters in the district since Mitchell's 1836 exploration. David Furner
David Furner (born 6 February 1971) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach who was the head coach of the Leeds Rhinos, and a former player. He is the former assistant coach for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL, and the former head coach of the Canberra Raiders with whom he spent his whole Australian playing career. A New South Wales State of Origin and Australia national representative goal-kicking second-row forward, he left the Raiders as the third greatest point-scoring forward in NRL history before enjoying a successful career in England with the Wigan Warriors and the Leeds Rhinos. Tony Paskins (5 December 1927 – 15 August 2019) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and English Rugby Football League (RFL) competitions as well as playing rugby union for the Randwick club in Sydney. Louis Neumann
Louis Neumann (1941 – 2003) was a South African-born professional rugby league player and coach. Originally a rugby union player, he was signed by Leeds in 1960–61. Having made 123 appearances for the English side, he moved to Australia to play for the Eastern Suburbs ahead of the 1967 NSWRFL season. He played in 81 matches for the club, including 22 as player-coach in 1969, following the departure of Jack Gibson. Wayne James Bennett AM (born 1 January 1950), also known by the nickname "Benny", is an Australian professional rugby league coach who was signed in late 2021 for three years by the Dolphins in readiness and preparation for their inaugural 2023 season in the National Rugby League competition. He was previously the head coach of the South Sydney Rabbitohs among other clubs, and a former rugby league footballer. Bob Fulton
Robert Fulton (1 December 1947 – 23 May 2021), also nicknamed "Bozo", was an Australian international rugby league footballer, coach and later commentator. Fulton played, coached, selected for and has commentated on the game with great success at the highest levels and has been named amongst Australia's greatest rugby league players of the 20th century. As a player Fulton won three premierships with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the 1970s, the last as captain. He represented the Australian national side on thirty-five occasions, seven times as captain. He had a long coaching career at the first grade level, taking Manly to premiership victory in 1987 and 1996. He coached the Australian national team in thirty-nine Tests. Terry Fearnley
Terence Colin Fearnley (21 July 1933 – 4 March 2015) was an Australian rugby league footballer and coach. Playing career Fearnley was a long serving member of the NSWRFL's Eastern Suburbs team, playing 144 matches for them at a bleak period in that club's existence in two stints 1954-55 and 1957–64. Injury kept him out of the 1960 grand final, one of the few successful years Eastern Suburbs enjoyed in that period. The front rower however was selected to represent his state, New South Wales that season. Coaching career Following his retirement from the game as a player, Fearnley enjoyed a successful coaching career, taking the Parramatta Eels to their first ever Grand Final in 1976 and then again in 1977.
