Dominique Malonga (footballer)
Dominique Sossorobla Malonga (born 8 January 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Icelandic club Þór Akureyri. Malonga has previously played for Italian sides Torino, Foggia, Cesena, Vicenza and Pro Vercelli, as well as Murcia and Elche in Spain, Hibernian in Scotland, Servette in Switzerland, Chania in Greece, Cavalry in Canada and Lokomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria. Early life Born in Châtenay-Malabry, France, Malonga grew up in the suburbs of Paris to Congolese parents. Malonga grew up supporting Monaco, and later ended up joining the club's youth team. Châtenay-Malabry () is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris. It is located 10.8 km (6.7 mi) from the center of Paris. The French writer Chateaubriand lived in the estate ''Vallée-aux-Loups'' at Châtenay-Malabry. The Garden City in the Butte Rouge, the ''Cité Jardins'', is one of the earliest examples of housing at moderated rents (''HLM''). Châtenay is the location of ''École Centrale Paris'', of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Paris-Sud and of French national laboratory of doping detection. The 2011–12 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM after its headline sponsors) was the 110th season of top-tier Italian football, the 80th in a round-robin tournament, and the second since its organization under a league committee separate from Serie B. Co-ownership (football)
Co-ownership is a system whereby two football clubs own the contract of a player jointly, although the player is only registered to play for one club. It is not a universal system, but is used in some countries, including Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. It was formerly commonplace in Italy, though the practice has now been abolished there. This type of deal differs from third-party ownership, in that in the latter, the player's contract is owned by a non-footballing entity, such as a management company. Italy Co-ownership deals were common in Italian football, before being banned at the end of the 2014–15 season.
