Dominique Johnson (born June 9, 1987) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Al Ittihad Alexandria. College career Johnson played his college basketball at a small and very modest Christian university, called Azusa Pacific University. He is among the rare players that play professional basketball, after coming from a NAIA college school. Professional career On November 1, 2010, Johnson was selected in the third round (2010 Annual NBA Development League Draft) by the Idaho Stampede. On January 22, 2011, he joined the team of the Texas Legends, wearing the number 9, in whose colors he spent nearly two full seasons. For the 2011–12 season, Johnson was invited to the Minnesota Timberwolves training camp. He was later waived. The Lebanese Basketball League is the top-tier professional men's basketball league in Lebanon. It is organized annually as a national championship with playoffs and a national cup by the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB). Currently, the league consists of 12 teams, of which six are located in Beirut. The most successful club in the history of the league is Al Riyadi who have won a record 16 championships. History The initial Lebanese basketball league was formed in as early as the 1950s; however, it was stopped during the Lebanese Civil War. The competition began on 20 September 2017, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded with the second leg of the final on 2 May 2018. The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA's European-wide second level.
