Domingo Roberto Mandrafina (born November 2, 1945, in Buenos Aires), also called Cacho Mandrafina, is an Argentine comics artist. Biography He debuted in 1969 on the magazine ''Patoruzito''. Two years later he illustrated the science fiction series ''Samos'', written by Jorge Morhain for the magazine ''Billiken''. In 1972 Mandrafina started his collaboration with Editorial Columba and the review ''Top''. In 1978 he started illustrating the series '' Savarese'', written by Robin Wood, published in the magazine ''D'artagnan''. Later he worked for Ediciones Record (''Lady Shadow'' and '' El condenado''). D'artagnan (magazine)
Charles de Batz de Castelmore (), also known as d'Artagnan and later Count d'Artagnan ( 1611 – 25 June 1673), was a French Musketeer who served Louis XIV as captain of the Musketeers of the Guard. He died at the siege of Maastricht in the Franco-Dutch War. A fictionalised account of his life by Gatien de Courtilz de Sandras formed the basis for the d'Artagnan Romances of Alexandre Dumas, ''père'', most famously including ''The Three Musketeers'' (1844). Carlos Trillo (May 1, 1943 – May 8, 2011) was an Argentine comic book writer, best known for writing the '' Cybersix'' comics. Biography Born in Buenos Aires, Trillo began a prolific career as writer at the age of 20, penning his first story for '' Patoruzú'' magazine. Trillo, together with Horacio Altuna, created the strip '' El Loco Chávez'', which appeared every day at the back of the newspaper '' Clarín'' from July 26, 1975 to November 10, 1987. After that, the strip was replaced by '' El Negro Blanco'', which he wrote for the artist Ernesto García Seijas until September 1993. Robin Wood (24 January 1944 – 17 October 2021) was a Paraguayan comic book writer and author. He is mostly known for his classical work in Argentine comics and his later work in European comics. Biography Born to a family of Australian Paraguayans, Australian-Paraguayan origins in 1944, Wood spent his childhood between Paraguay and Argentina with his mother, before leaving to do various jobs, such as dishwasher, truck driver, salesman, wood chopper, journalist and factory worker in those two countries as well as in Brazil.
