Domenico Bollani (1514–1579) was a diplomat and politician of the Republic of Venice, and as Bishop of Brescia from 1559 to 1579 he was a leading figure of the Catholic reform. Political career Domenico Bollani was born to a noble family in Venice on 10 February 1514, or in 1513 according to other sources. He earned a doctorate of Laws at the University of Padova and he took the political career in the Republic of Venice He was elected in the '' Consiglio dei Pregadi'' (the Senate) and he held also the office as one of the '' Savi di Terraferma'' (an office comparable to a minister). In 1547 he was appointed ambassador to England. Returned in Venice, in 1551 he served in the Council of Ten. Domenico Felice Antonio Cotugno (January 29, 1736 – October 6, 1822) was an Italian physician. Biography Born at Ruvo di Puglia (Province of Bari, Apulia) into a family of humble means, Cotugno underwent physical and economic hardships to get an education. He was sent to nearby Molfetta for training in Latin, returning to Ruvo for work in logic, metaphysics, mathematics, physics, and the natural sciences. He soon found his natural bent in medicine and continued his studies from 1753 at the University of Naples, and in 1756 graduated from Salerno medical school. He received his doctorate in philosophy and physics in 1755, and became an assistant at the ''Ospedale degli Incurabili'' (Neapolitan Hospital for Incurables). In 1761 he became professor of surgery at that hospital, and was subsequently for 30 years professor of anatomy at the high school of Naples. Biography Comino was born in Morozzo on 27 September 1955. He is one of the former leaders of Lega Nord. He served as state minister for the EU relations in the first cabinet of Silvio Berlusconi in 1994. Domenico Cimarosa (; 17 December 1749 – 11 January 1801) was an Italian composer of the Neapolitan school and of the Classical period. He wrote more than eighty operas, the best known of which is ''Il matrimonio segreto'' (1792); most of his operas are comedies. He also wrote instrumental works and church music. Cimarosa was principally based in Naples, but spent some of his career in various other parts of Italy, composing for the opera houses of Rome, Venice, Florence and elsewhere. He was engaged by Catherine II of Russia as her court composer and conductor between 1787 and 1791. In his later years, returning to Naples, he backed the losing side in the struggle to overthrow the monarchy there, and was imprisoned and then exiled. He died in Venice at the age of 51. Domenico Cefalù (; born 1947) is an Italian American mobster and is currently the boss of the Gambino crime family in New York City. On February 25th, 2021, Domenico became the boss of the Gambino crime family. Biography Cefalù was born in Palermo, Sicily, in 1947. After moving to the United States, Cefalù became involved in organized crime and started smuggling heroin for the Gambino crime family. In March 1982, Cefalù was convicted of heroin smuggling along with 10 other men, including his uncle and cousin, and served six years in prison.
