Doctor Victor
Doctor Victor is a Czech rock trio formed in Prague in 2012. The band consists of Victor on vocals and lead guitar, Al on bass, and Tom on drums. Doctor Victor's music is based primarily on the legacy of traditional rock from the late 1960s and early 1970s, with elements of blues music. In 2016, they released their debut album, ''1st Prescription''. The band's 2018 single "StandUP" was included in the Czech selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. History Founding and early days: 2012–15 Doctor Victor was founded in 2012 by Victor, a graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague and holder of a scholarship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Rock or Bust World Tour was a 2015–2016 concert tour by Australian rock band AC/DC, in support of their sixteenth studio album '' Rock or Bust'', which was released on 28 November 2014. This tour had 7 legs around the world lasting more than 17 months starting on 10 April 2015 in Indio, California and finishing on 20 September 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NAMM Show is an annual event in the United States that is organized by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), who describe it as "the industry’s largest stage, uniting the global music, sound and entertainment technology communities". Nazareth (band)
Nazareth are a Scottish hard rock band formed in Dunfermline in 1968 that had several hits in Canada, the United Kingdom, and a number of other European countries in the early 1970s. The breadth of their popularity expanded internationally, including in the USA, with their 1975 album ''Hair of the Dog'', which featured their hits "Hair of the Dog" and a cover of the ballad "Love Hurts". They have continued to record and tour for more than fifty years. Dan McCafferty
William Daniel McCafferty (14 October 1946 – 8 November 2022) was a vocalist and songwriter best known as the lead singer for the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth from its founding in 1968 to his retirement from touring with the band in 2013. Biography McCafferty was born in Dunfermline, Fife. Under the influence of artists such as Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and Otis Redding, he became one of the founding members of Nazareth in 1968. He appeared on all of Nazareth's albums up to 2014 and toured with them for 45 years. He co-wrote some of the big Nazareth hits, including "Broken Down Angel", and "Bad Bad Boy". He released three solo albums. Retirement from touring with Nazareth On 29 August 2013, Nazareth announced McCafferty's retirement from touring with the band due to health issues. AC/DC (stylised as ACϟDC) are an Australian Rock music, rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm Young, Malcolm and Angus Young. Chinaski (band)
Chinaski () is a Czech pop rock group. In 2005, they won an Anděl Award, granted by the Czech Academy of Popular Music, and repeated this success in 2007. They have also repeatedly placed in the top ranks of the Český slavík awards. History The group was established in 1987 as Starý Hrady (named after the village of Staré Hrady) by Pavel Grohman and Michal Novotný (known professionally as Michal Malátný). Later, they modified their original name to Starý hadry (Old Rags). Longtime frontman Petr Rajchert and Jiří Seydler joined in 1989; both were classmates of Michal Novotný.
