Doc Seaman
Daryl Kenneth "Doc" Seaman (28 April 1922 – 11 January 2009) was a Canadians, Canadian oilman and hockey executive. Seaman was the founder, president, and chairman of Bow Valley Industries, Bow Valley Industries Limited, which was one of Canada's largest independent petroleum companies. In addition to his business activities, from 1941 to 1945 he served as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force and from 1980 to 2009 was a part-owner of the Calgary Flames. Biography Early life Daryl Kenneth Seaman was born on 28 April 1922 in Rouleau, Saskatchewan, to Byron Luther Seaman (1890–1979) and Letha Mae Patton (1899–2006). Rouleau, Saskatchewan
Rouleau is a town in southern Saskatchewan, Canada, located on the Canadian Prairies. It lies within census Division No. 6 and rural municipality Redburn No. 130. As of 2011, the population was 453 (an increase of 13.3 percent from the 2006 census), in an area of 1.65 square kilometres. Rouleau is situated on Saskatchewan Highway 39 and is about 35 km southwest of Regina. American Expeditionary Forces
The American Expeditionary Forces (A. E. F.) was a formation of the United States Army on the Western Front of World War I. The A. E. F. was established on July 5, 1917, in France under the command of General John J. Pershing. It fought alongside French Army, British Army, Canadian Army, New Zealand Army and Australian Army units against the Imperial German Army. A small number of A. E. F. troops also fought alongside Italian Army units in that same year against the Austro-Hungarian Army. The A. E. RCAF Station Virden was a Second World War, Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) station. It was a British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) flying training station located north of Virden, Manitoba, Canada. It is now the site of Virden/R.J. (Bob) Andrew Field Regional Aerodrome. The Moose Jaw Canucks were a junior ice hockey team based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. They were one of the founding members of the ''Western Canada Junior Hockey League'' (known today as the Western Hockey League) in 1966 following a rebellion within the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
