''Do Re Mi'' is a 1966 Malaysian comedy film directed by and starring P. Ramlee. The concept was partly based on the idea of The Three Stooges''Malaysia at Random'' 2009 -Editions Didier Millet 9814217956 p.103 "Bujang Lapok (Three Raggedy Bachelors, 1955) and the Do Re Mi series were based on The Three Stooges. " with Ramlee playing the character Do. Its success led to two sequels, ''Nasib Do Re Mi'' (also 1966) and ''Laksamana Do Re Mi'' (1972), Ramlee's last film before his death. Ahmad Nawab
Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Khan bin Nawab Khan (born 6 April 1933), known professionally as Ahmad Nawab, is a Malaysian composer. He has written over 2000 songs and has worked with artists including Tan Sri Datuk Amar P. Ramlee, Puan Sri Datin Amar Saloma, Uji Rashid, Datuk Sudirman Arshad, Salamiah Hassan, Datuk Andre Goh and M.Sani. He became involved in the industry in Singapore and Malaya in the 1950s, 60s and then joined forces in the 1970s with Orkestra RTM for 17 years and received numerous awards. Among the most notable awards is the Merak Kayangan Award est Song the Bintang Malam (1980). The highest appreciation given by the Malaysian music industry to the senior composer is the Seniman Negara Award of 2006, on 20 November 2006. The Three Stooges
The Three Stooges were an American vaudeville and comedy team active from 1922 until 1970, best remembered for their 190 short subject films by Columbia Pictures. Their hallmark styles were physical farce and slapstick. Six Stooges appeared over the act's run (with only three active at any given time): Moe Howard (born Moses Horwitz) and Larry Fine (born Louis Feinberg) were mainstays throughout the ensemble's nearly 50-year run and the pivotal "third stooge" was played by (in order of appearance) Shemp Howard (born Samuel Horwitz), Curly Howard (born Jerome Horwitz), Shemp Howard again, Joe Besser, and "Curly Joe" DeRita. ''Laksamana Do Re Mi'' (''Admirals Do, Re, and Mi'') is a 1972 Malaysian comedy film directed by P. Ramlee. Shot in black and white, it is the third instalment in the ''Do Re Mi'' series of comedy films, and features the trio of actors P. Ramlee, A. R. Tompel and Ibrahim Din reprising their roles as Do, Re and Mi respectively. The story is loosely based on one of stories in ''One Thousand and One Nights'', "The Three Princes and the Princess Nouronnihar", and features the trio becoming admirals and using magic to save a faraway kingdom from ruin. Saloma (actress)
Salmah binti Ismail ( Jawi: سلمه بنت إسماعيل; 22 January 1935 – 25 April 1983), better known by her stage name Saloma, was a Malay Singaporean-Malaysian singer, film actress, trendsetter and a fashion icon of Banjar and Bawean descent who became well known in the late 1950s. Saloma was well known for her vocal ability in singing, which was depicted as "lemak merdu", (a full, rather thick but sweet voice). She was signed with EMI music records and since then has released numerous EP's such as Dendang Saloma (1957), Bunga Negara (1963) and Aslirama (1972).
