Dmitrii Ialin
Dmitrii Mihailovich Ialin (russian: Дмитрий Михайлович Ялин, born 9 August 1998) is a Russian pair skater. With his former skating partner, Polina Kostiukovich, he is the 2018 World Junior and the 2018–19 Junior Grand Prix Final silver medalist, and the 2019 World Junior bronze medalist. He is also the 2017 JGP Croatia and the 2018 JGP Austria champion. Career Early years Ialin began learning to skate in 2002. He trained as a single skater until 2013 in Yekaterinburg. He later switched to pair skating and moved to Saint Petersburg. Ialin and Polina Kostiukovich began competing together in 2016. 2017–18 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2017–18 ISU Junior Grand Prix is the 21st season of a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It is the junior-level complement to the 2017–18 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Skaters competed for medals in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance, as well as for qualifying points. The top six from each discipline met at the 2017–18 Junior Grand Prix Final, held together with the senior final. Competitions The locations of the JGP events change yearly. Denis Sergeevich Khodykin (russian: Денис Сергеевич Ходыкин, born 6 July 1999) is a Russian pair skater. With his skating partner, Daria Pavliuchenko, he is the 2020 European bronze medalist, the 2019 Internationaux de France and 2019 Skate America silver medalist, and the 2018 Grand Prix of Helsinki and 2018 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist. Earlier in their career, they won gold at the 2018 World Junior Championships and bronze at the 2017 Junior Grand Prix Final. Personal life Khodykin was born on 6 July 1999 in Moscow. He has studied sports management at university, graduating with his degree in 2021. Daria Maksimovna Pavliuchenko (russian: Дарья Максимовна Павлюченко, born 31 December 2002) is a Russian pair skater. With her skating partner, Denis Khodykin, she is the 2020 European bronze medalist, the 2019 Internationaux de France and 2019 Skate America silver medalist, and the 2018 Grand Prix of Helsinki and 2018 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist. The 2018 Russian Figure Skating Championships (russian: Чемпионат России по фигурному катанию на коньках 2018) were held from 19 to 24 December 2017 in Saint Petersburg. Twist Lifts
Figure skating lifts are required elements in two disciplines of figure skating, pair skating and ice dance. There are five groups of lifts in pair skating, categorized in order of increasing level of difficulty. Judges look for the following when evaluating pair lifts: speed of entry and exit; control of the woman's free leg when she is exiting out of the lift, with the goal of keeping the leg high and sweeping; the position of the woman in the air; the man's footwork; quick and easy changes of position; and the maintenance of flow throughout the lift. Xie Zhong
Xie Zhong (; born September 19, 1998) is a Chinese pair skater. With his former skating partner, Gao Yumeng, he is the 2017 World Junior bronze medalist and 2017 Chinese national bronze medalist on the senior level. Early career Xie began learning to skate in 2003. Following a partnership with Wang Wen, he teamed up with Zhang Mingyang. The two competed on the 2013 Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series, placing fourth in August in Riga, Latvia. Xie placed fifth skating with Zhang Ziyi at the Chinese Championships in December 2014. 2015–2016 season During the 2015–2016 season, Xie skated in partnership with Zhao Ying.
