''Nextwave'' is a humorous comic book ongoing series, series by Warren Ellis and Stuart Immonen, published by Marvel Comics between 2006 and 2007. ''Nextwave'' consistently features extreme violence and comedy, and simultaneously satire, satirizes and celebrates Marvel's superhero comics. The series frequently uses Flashback (narrative), flashback scenes in which existing Marvel characters such as Captain America, Ulysses Bloodstone and the Celestial (comics), Celestials act grossly out of character for comedic purposes. Civil War (comics)
"Civil War" is a 2006–07 Marvel Comics crossover storyline consisting of a seven-issue limited series of the same name written by Mark Millar and penciled by Steve McNiven and various tie-in books. The storyline builds upon events in previous Marvel storylines, particularly " Avengers Disassembled", "House of M", and " Decimation". The series' tagline is "Whose Side Are You On?" The plot begins when the U.S. government passes a Superhero Registration Act, ostensibly to have super-powered individuals act under official regulation, somewhat akin to law enforcement. Superheroes who oppose the act, led by Captain America, find themselves in conflict with its supporters, led by Iron Man. Spider-Man is caught in the middle, while the X-Men take a neutral stance. Crayon
A crayon (or wax pastel) is a stick of pigmented wax used for writing or drawing. Wax crayons differ from pastels, in which the pigment is mixed with a dry binder such as gum arabic, and from oil pastels, where the binder is a mixture of wax and oil. TARDIS
The TARDIS (; acronym for "Time And Relative Dimension In Space") is a fictional hybrid of the time machine and spacecraft that appears in the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' and its various spin-offs. Its exterior appearance mimics a police box, an obsolete type of telephone kiosk that was once commonly seen on streets in Britain. Paradoxically, its interior is shown as being much larger than its exterior, commonly described as being "bigger on the inside". The Mindless Ones are fictional monsters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Their first appearance was in ''Strange Tales'' #127 (Dec. 1964). They are extra-dimensional creatures summoned via magic to do the bidding of others (they have no will of their own).
