Direct Hit (band)
Direct Hit! is a Milwaukee-based punk rock band formed in 2007 by singer/guitarist Nick Woods. Its current lineup consists of Nick Woods, Devon Kay, Maura Weaver, Joram Zbichorski, and Logan Stang. History In 2007, while playing with indie rock group The Box Social, Nick Woods had the idea to start a pop punk band that would release music "like comic books," favoring the rapid and consistent release of short EPs over the slow and sporadic traditional approach of full-length records. From 2008-2010, Direct Hit! released a series of five EPs for free online in addition to a split 7-inch with the band Mixtapes before signing to Kind of Like Records. In 2011, Direct Hit! released ''Domesplitter'', their debut full-length which collected ten re-recorded fan favorites from their previous releases. Summerfest
Summerfest is an annual music festival held in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. First held in 1968, Summerfest is located at Henry Maier Festival Park, adjacent to Lake Michigan and Milwaukee's central business district. Summerfest attracts approximately 800,000 people each year, promoting itself as "The World's Largest Music Festival", a title certified by Guinness World Records in 1999, but has been surpassed in attendance by Donauinselfest with over 3 million in 2015. The Fest
The Fest is an annual music festival in Gainesville, Florida, United States, organized by Tony Weinbender, formerly of No Idea Records. It is a predominantly punk rock and pop-punk festival, though there are also a good number of indie rock, hardcore punk, metal, and ska acts. The Fest takes place each year on the weekend of the Florida–Georgia football game (around Halloween) held in Jacksonville. The Knitting Factory
