Diocese Of Gumaca
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Gumaca (Lat: ''Dioecesis Gumacana'') is a Roman Catholic diocese in the Philippines centered in the Municipality of Gumaca in Quezon province. The Roman Rite Latin Church diocese covers the communities of Gumaca; Pitogo, due south of Gumaca; and all the parishes of eastern Quezon province situated east of Gumaca and Pitogo. The Gumaca diocese was erected in 1984, carved out from the Diocese of Lucena. Both dioceses are suffragan of the Archdiocese of Lipa. Roman Catholic Archdiocese Of Lipa
The Archdiocese of Lipa is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or archdiocese of the Catholic Church in the Philippines comprising the civil province of Batangas. Its cathedral is the Cathedral of Lipa located in the episcopal see of Lipa. First created in 1910 from the Archdiocese of Manila, the diocese was elevated into its present status in 1972. Today, the Archdiocese of Lipa's ecclesiastical province covers Batangas and suffragan territories in the civil provinces of Quezon, Marinduque, and Aurora. The archdiocese itself is divided into 14 vicariates further comprising a total of 64 parishes. Roman Catholic Diocese Of Lucena
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lucena ( lat, Dioecesis Lucenensis) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines with the seat in Lucena City. The Roman Rite Latin Church diocese was erected in 1950 from the Archdiocese of Lipa to become a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese. In 1977, the Diocese of Boac, which covers the parishes in the island-province of Marinduque, was created and separated from Lucena. In 1984, the Diocese of Lucena was further divided with the creation of the Diocese of Gumaca, which covers the municipalities of Quezon province east of Gumaca, Quezon. Gumaca, officially the Municipality of Gumaca ( tgl, Bayan ng Gumaca), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 71,942 people. It is located at the mouth of what is now known as Pipisik River and nestled at the foot of the Sierra Madre range. The town is widely known as a ''heritage town'' due to the many ancestral houses and old structures that abound in the area, including a fortress from the Spanish era. Gilbert Armea Garcera (born February 2, 1959) is the Roman Catholic Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lipa in the Philippines. Didacus of Alcalá ( es, Diego de Alcalá), also known as Diego de San Nicolás, was a Spanish Franciscan lay brother who served as among the first group of missionaries to the newly conquered Canary Islands. The Roman Rite ( la, Ritus Romanus) is the primary liturgical rite of the Latin Church, the largest of the ''sui iuris'' particular churches that comprise the Catholic Church.
