The Turkish people, or simply the Turks ( tr, Türkler), are the world's largest Turkic ethnic group; they speak various dialects of the Turkish language and form a majority in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. In addition, centuries-old ethnic Turkish communities still live across other former territories of the Ottoman Empire. Article 66 of the Turkish Constitution defines a "Turk" as: "Anyone who is bound to the Turkish state through the bond of citizenship." While the legal use of the term "Turkish" as it pertains to a citizen of Turkey is different from the term's ethnic definition, the majority of the Turkish population (an estimated 70 to 75 percent) are of Turkish ethnicity. The vast majority of Turks are Muslims and follow the Sunni and Alevi faith. The ethnic Turks can therefore be distinguished by a number of cultural and regional variants, but do not function as separate ethnic groups. Haluk Dinçer (born 1962) is a Turkish business executive. He has been Executive Board Member of Sabanci Holding Turkey's leading industrial and financial group, since February 2002, and Financial Services Group President since April 2020. Ömer Dinçer
Ömer Dinçer (born 10 September 1956 in Karaman) is a Turkish politician and academician. Before being a member of the Turkish parliament, he taught at Marmara University for years and published many papers in his field. He is the architect of 12-year compulsory education system, and has reformed and restructured the primary school and high school curricula as well as educational philosophy. On 21 October 2005, Council of Higher Education of Turkey (YÖK) identified extensive plagiarism in his academic book ''Introduction to Business Administration'' and expelled Dinçer from teaching profession at any university in Turkey. Dinçer appealed the charge, but it was upheld in court. In the elections of 2007 Dinçer was elected as a member of parliament. Semra Dinçer (25 July 1965 – 1 November 2021) was a Turkish actress. Dinçer was born in 1965, in Ankara. Despite not receiving a formal education in acting, she started her career in 1984 with a leading role in TRT series ''Köşe Dönücü''. She is best known for her role in the series '' Kuzey Güney'' as Handan Tekinoğlu. She also served as a scriptwriter in seven movies and appeared in more than 42 films and TV series. Suzan Sabancı Dinçer, CBE (; born 1965), is a Turkish businesswoman and a member of the Sabancı family in third generation. She is currently chairperson of Akbank, as well as board member of Sabancı Holding. Career Suzan Sabancı Dinçer is the Chairman of Akbank.
