Dinmore is a suburb of Ipswich in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. In the , Dinmore had a population of 875 people with an unemployment rate of 16.7%, in comparison to the Australian unemployment rate of 6.9%. Geography Dinmore is situated in the crossroads area of, and is basically bordered by, the Ipswich Motorway, the Cunningham Highway, and the Warrego Highway. Brisbane Road, the main street leading to the nearby historical centre of Ipswich, runs through the middle of Dinmore. Many of the locals call Dinmore the gateway to the city because it is at the entrance way to Ipswich, as well as being the entrance to Brisbane from the west. Brisbane road, in Dinmore, has a few shops and restaurants, with main shopping areas in nearby Booval and Redbank. Dinmore is only minutes from the city but still has the feel of a rural suburb, with parks and green spaces throughout. Bowen Hills railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Bowen Hills. North of the station, the Ferny Grove line branches off. The station is one of four inner city stations that form a core corridor through the centre of Brisbane. History There have been three railways stations named Bowen Hills. The first from 1882 to 1889 was near Campbell Street. In 1890, a new station opened at the south end of the Abbotsford Road tunnel. In 1971, to allow for the Mayne marshalling yards to be expanded, Bowen Hill and Mayne Junction stations were closed with a new Bowen Hills station opening in 1973. Clayfield is a suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Clayfield had a population of 10,555 people. Geography Clayfield is by road from the Brisbane GPO. Clayfield is bordered to the north by Nundah, to the east by Ascot and Hendra, to the west by Wooloowin and to the south by Albion. Its name derives from the fine white-grey sedimentary clay mined in Albion, between Morgan and Sykes Street, used in the brickworks that once existed between Oriel Road and Reeve Street near Sandgate Road. It is one of two railway stations serving the Brisbane suburb of Clayfield, the other being Clayfield railway station. North of the station, the Pinkenba and Airport lines branch off. Petrie Railway Station
Petrie railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the suburb of Petrie in the Moreton Bay Region. It opened as North Pine railway station in1888 after the nearby North Pine River and was renamed Petrie railway station (after local pioneer Thomas Petrie) in 1911. The station has five platforms. As part of the Redcliffe Peninsula line, the station was expanded with a new island platform built east of the existing platforms. It opened along with the rest of the line on 4 October 2016. As part of the project, a third track was added south of the station to Lawnton. North of the station, the Redcliffe Peninsula line branches off. The station includes a walkbridge to Lang Park and is also immediately adjacent the Castlemaine Perkins brewery. History Milton station opened in 1884. Darra Railway Station
Darra railway station is located on the Main line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Darra. History A stop at "nine miles forty four chain" from Central was established when the line between Ipswich and Brisbane was built in 1874. Service on the line were operating in 1875. No stops at the site were recorded in 1876 or 1877, probably because the stop was not staffed until the following year when passengers were first recorded at Darra station. The name Darra is most probably derived from a Scottish railway town as some of the engineers who were responsible for naming stops were Scottish. Kippa-Ring Railway Station
Kippa-Ring railway station is the terminus of the Redcliffe Peninsula railway line and serves the suburb of Kippa-Ring in Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. It features a park & ride facility and local bus stops. A stabling facility, capable of holding 10 six car trains, is located to the west of the station. It opened, together with the rail line, on 4 October 2016. Following an upgrade Kippa-Ring railway station's car park, the station now has 408 parking spaces, consisting of 396 normal parking spaces, two new family parking spaces, and ten disability parking spaces, eight are located near the grassed area at the entrance to the station, with two of the originally installed spaces still available, with the rest being replaces by the two family parking spots and seven regular parking spots. Nambour Railway Station
Nambour railway station is located on the North Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the town of Nambour in the Sunshine Coast Region. History On 16 December 1963, the present station building was opened by Minister for Transport Gordon Chalk. On 11 August 1988, a bus station was opened outside the station by Minister for Transport Ivan Gibbs. South of the station lie stabling sidings for electric multiple units. In 2016 a major upgrade to the station commenced. Services Nambour is the terminus for City network services from Brisbane with two services daily continuing to Gympie.
