Dinesh Subba
Dinesh Subba ( Limbu) ( ne, दिनेश सुब्बा ) is a composer, singer and lyricist of Nepali music. Biography Dinesh Subba was born in 1962 in Tumsong Tea State of Darjeeling. He was greatly influenced by musical and literary ambience of Darjeeling in those days. It is yet said that every home in Darjeeling has one guitar and one singer at the least. Maestros like Ambar Gurung, Gopal Yonzon, Shanti Thatal, Sharan Ranjit, Aruna Lama, Karma Yonzon, Kumar Subba, Pema Lama, Dawa Gylamo are source of his inspiration in his musical journey. Winning Gorkha Dukha Niwaran and Devkota Sangit in Darjeeling inspired Subba to pursue his music career seriously. Darjeeling

Arun Thapa
Arun Thapa Magar (born January 1952– 22 July 1999) was a Nepali singer and songwriter. In 2003, according to an international poll conducted by BBC, more than half-a million people from 165 countries voted his composition ''Reetu haruma timi hariyali basant (You are the spring amongst the seasons)'', his most famous romantic song, as the seventh in the world's top 10 most popular songs of all time. Personal life Arun Thapa was born in Calcutta, India on 6 January 1952. His father was Ganju Prasad Thapa. His parents moved back to Nepal when Arun was 3 months old. Meera Rana, also Mira Rana (born 24 September 1951), is a Nepali singer who has sung over 1,600 songs in her 55-year musical career. She is considered a part of "Nepal's first wave of recording stars", recording folk, classical and even pop songs, during the first wave of country's modernisation after the fall of the Rana regime. Limbu People
The Limbu (exonym) or Yakthung (endonym) are a Sino-Tibetan indigenous tribe (Bhot-Burmeli) of the Himalayan region of eastern Nepal, Sikkim, and western Bhutan. The original name of the Limbu is ''Yakthung'' () or ''Yakthum''. Limbu males are called ''Yakthungba'' or ''Yakthumba'' and Limbu females are called "Yakthumma" or "Yakthungma". Ancient texts state that "Yakthung" or "Yakthum" is a derivative of Yaksha and some interpret its meaning as the "Yaksha winner". In the Limbu language it means "heroes of the hills" (Yak - hills, thung or thum - heroes or mighty warriors), which connotates with the ancient Kiratis. Subba is a title given by the Shah Kings only to Limbu village chiefs. Subba was not an indigenous Yakthung terminology, but now the two terms are almost interchangeable. Shree Amber Gurung ( ne, अम्बर गुरुङ) (26 February 1938 – 7 June 2016) was a Nepalese composer, singer, and lyricist. He composed Nepal's national anthem, "Sayaun Thunga Phulka". Early life Amber Gurung was born in Darjeeling, India, where his father and former soldier in the British Indian Army, Ujir Singh Gurung, served as a policeman from Gorkha district, Nepal. His mother encouraged him to sing and compose as a child, and he taught himself to play Nepali, Indian, and Western instruments. He studied at Turnbull School, Darjeeling, where he fell in love with music while singing Bible Hymns.
