Dina Nath Sharma
Dina Nath Sharma, alias Ashok, is a Nepalese politician. In 1999 he led a revolt within the CPN (Masal) against the party leadership. On April 6, 1999, Sharma split from the party and constituted his own parallel Communist Party of Nepal (Masal). Sharma's party called for boycott of elections and supported the armed struggle. Soon after the split Sharma's party merged with the Communist Party of Nepal. Sharma was inducted in the Maoist politburo. Sharma represented the Maoists during the 2003 peace-talks. After the end of the 2006 democracy movement in Nepal, Sharma was included in the group sent to Kathmandu to start peace negotiations with the new government. Bidhya Devi Bhandari
Bidya Devi Bhandari (, ; born 19 June 1961) is a Nepali politician who is serving as the second and current president of Nepal. She formerly served as the minister of defence and minister of environment and population. She is the first woman to hold the office in the country. She served as the vice-chairperson of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) and was the chair of the All Nepal Women's Association before being elected president. Bhandari previously served as the Minister of Defence, the first woman to hold the office, from 2009 to 2011. She also served as the Minister of Environment and Population in 1997, and has been an active campaigner for environmental awareness and women's rights in Nepal. Hisila Yami ( ne, हिसिला यमी) (born 25 June 1959), also known by her nom de guerre Parvati, is a Nepalese politician and architect. She is a deputy chairman of Socialist Party of Nepal and a former president of the All Nepal Women's Association (Revolutionary). Early life and education Her father Dharma Ratna Yami was a Nepalese social activist, author and government deputy minister. Yami graduated from the School of Planning and Architecture in Delhi, India, in 1982. She completed her M. Arch. from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK in 1995.
