Dimna IL
Dimna Idrettslag is a Norwegian athletics club from Dimnøya, Ulsteinvik, Møre og Romsdal. The club colours are green and white. The club was founded on 3 December 1974, and did not take up any team sports because the island Dimnøya had a population too small to support a team. Instead, athletics was chosen to give the local populace a sport to practice. Replacing IL Hødd as the local athletics club of choice, Dimna IL started being a tenant of Høddvoll Stadium and of the indoor track arena Ulsteinhallen, both in the nearby town of Ulsteinvik. Dimna IL is best known as the club of World and Olympic champion and world record holder Karsten Warholm Karsten Warholm (; born 28 February 1996) is a Norwegian sprinter who competes in the 400 metres and 400 m hurdles. Høddvoll Stadion
Høddvoll Stadion is a multi-sports stadium in Ulsteinvik in Ulstein, Norway. It was the home ground of 2. divisjon side IL Hødd until 2014. It is primary used for football and athletics with its all-weather running track. The stadium is a part of the sports complex consists of the Nye Høddvoll, surrounded by an all-weather running track, a natural grass training pitch and an artificial turf pitch, as well as an indoor hall. Høddvoll has a capacity for 4,433 spectators, of which 2,600 seated. Hødd was established in 1919 and completed the construction of Høddvoll in 1921. The original field had gravel and was located at the site of current training pitch. It went through a series of upgrades, becoming a grass field in 1989. The main stadium at Høddvoll opened in 1963, and was followed by five season in the top football league the following decade, resulting in various upgrades. is a town in the municipality of Ulstein, Møre og Romsdal, Norway. The town is the commercial and administrative centre of Ulstein and as such, Ulsteinvik contains 74% of the municipality's population. Dimnøya, also called Dimna an island in Ulstein Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island had 1,398 residents in 2014. Dimna is connected to the neighboring island of Hareidlandet to the east by a wide bridge. The town of Ulsteinvik lies northeast of the island. The island is about long and about wide. Idrottslaget Hødd is a multi-sports club from Ulsteinvik in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Founded in 1919, it has sections for team handball, gymnastics and football. It is best known for their men's football team, which since 2015 plays at Høddvoll, whose stated capacity is 4,081. The club's old home ground, Høddvoll Stadion, holds the record attendance of over 12,000 spectators at a match against Vålerenga in 1981. Høddvoll, also known as Nye Høddvoll (English: New Høddvoll), is a football stadium located in Ulsteinvik, Norway, and is the home of 2. divisjon club Hødd. The stadium has a current capacity of 4,081 spectators. History The old stadium, Høddvoll Stadion, did not meet the criteria for First Division stadia, lacking such amenities as under-soil heating, floodlights and the necessary standard for locker rooms. The club is therefore working on plans to build an all-new stadium at the site of the training pitch—the site of the first stadium from 1921. Karsten Warholm
Karsten Warholm (; born 28 February 1996) is a Norwegian sprinter who competes in the 400 metres and 400 m hurdles. He’s the world record holder in the latter event. In July 2021, he broke the 29-year-old world record in 400 metres hurdles. The following month at the 2020 Summer Olympics, he won the gold medal in the 400 metres hurdles with a time of 45.94 seconds, breaking his own world record by over three-quarters of a second. Warholm has also won gold in the event at the World Championships in 2017 and 2019, as well as the 2018 European Championships. He is a two-time 400m hurdles Diamond League champion. Ulstein is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Sunnmøre region. The commercial and administrative centre of Ulstein is the town of Ulsteinvik.
