Dimitris Dimakopoulos
Dimitris Dimakopoulos (alternate spelling: Dimitrios) ( el, Δημήτρης Δημακόπουλος; born January 28, 1966 in Thessaloniki, Greece) is a former Greece, Greek professional basketball player. Professional career Dimakopoulos started his career with Esperos Kallitheas BC, Esperos Kallitheas. He moved to Panathinaikos BC, Panathinaikos. In 1992, he played with PAOK BC, PAOK, with whom he won the Greek Basket League, Greek League championship, and he was also a FIBA Saporta Cup, FIBA Cup Winners' Cup finalist the same year. In 1993, he moved to Apollon Patras BC, Apollon Patras. National team career Dimakopoulos was also a member of the senior men's Greek national basketball team that finished in 10th place in the 1986 FIBA World Championship. Panathinaikos Football Club B, known as Panathinaikos B, (Greek: ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός B) is a Greek football club based in Athens, Greece. Founded in 2021, they play as the reserve team of Panathinaikos in the Super League Greece 2. Panathinaikos B is one of four reserve teams givens approval from the EPO ( Hellenic Football Association) to play in the second division. Esperos (in el, Π.Ο.Κ. Έσπερος) is a sports club in Kallithea (within greater Athens, Greece), founded in 1943 during the Nazi occupation of the country (1941–44). History Started as a football club and participated during World War II in the games organised by the "Union of Greek Athletes" (founded by Gregoris Lambrakis) seeking finance in order to fund public messes for the starving population. The UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball team is the basketball team that represents the University of California, Irvine. The team currently competes in the Big West Conference, NCAA Division I.
