Dimitra Gnafaki
Dimitra Gnafaki (born 9 July 1997) is a Greek track and field athlete. She is a multiple-time Greek national champion and twice Balkan champion over 400 metres hurdles. Career Gnafaki attended Gymnastics Academy in Serres before turning her focus fully to athletics and the 400m hurdles. She had her first international experience in 2016 at the 2016 World U20 Athletics Championships in Bydgoszcz. She then accepted a scholarship to attend the University of Akron, before returning to Greece to base herself in Chania, Crete. In 2021, she ran 57.00 to win the 2021 Balkan Athletics Championships, the time placed her fourth on the all-time Greek list for the 400m hurdles. The following year she won the Greek national title over 400m hurdles for the third time. The 2022 Mediterranean Games ( ar, ألعاب البحر الأبيض المتوسط 2022, links=, lit=, translit=ʾAlʿāb al-Baḥr al-ʾAbyaḍ al-Mutawassiṭ 2022), officially known as the XIX Mediterranean Games and commonly known as Oran 2022, was an international multi-sport event held from 25 June to 6 July 2022 in Oran, Algeria. 2024 European Athletics Championships – Women's 400 Metres Hurdles
The women's 400 metres hurdles at the 2024 European Athletics Championships took place in three rounds at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy, from 9 to 11 June 2024. This was the sixteenth time that the women's 400 metres hurdles was contested at the European Athletics Championships. A total of 37 athletes qualified for the event by entry standard, ranking, or wild card. The startlists contained 35 athletes from 21 nations. The three heats of the first round were held on 9 June, where the thirteen fastest athletes qualified for the semifinals in addition to the eleven athletes with the highest ranking who had a bye in the first round and automatically qualified for the semifinals. 2024 European Athletics Championships
The 26th European Athletics Championships will be held from 7 to 12 June 2024 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy. It will be the third time Italy has staged this sporting the event after the inaugural 1934 edition in Turin, for men only, and the 1974 edition at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Thus, the city and the venue will host the event for the second time after 50 years. Stadio Olimpico staged also the 1960 Olympic Games and 1987 World Championships in Athletics. The venue was renovated in 1990 and holds up to 70,000 spectators.
