Diego Polo the Elder (1560–1600) was a Spanish painter of the Renaissance period. He was born in Burgos, but studied at Madrid, under Patricio Caxes, and practiced history. Burgos
Burgos () is a city in Spain located in the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is the capital and most populated municipality of the province of Burgos. He was a scholar of Antonio Lanchares.
