Die Wahrheit übers Lügen
''Die Wahrheit übers Lügen'' (''The truth about lying'') is the second album by Farin Urlaub Racing Team and the fourth album by Farin Urlaub. As FURT was initially Farin Urlaub's live band, it was previously used on the live album ''Livealbum of Death''. This is the first studio album (being the third overall) in which Farin Urlaub incorporates his Racing Team. The album was released with a short bonus album, "Ponyhof", just as ''Jazz ist anders'' was. "Büffelherde", the main album, consists of rock songs and on "Ponyhof", Farin experiments with reggae and ska songs. The main album, however, is quite short, with only 11 songs, which is rather unusual for Die Ärzte's and its members' solo albums since 1993. Track listing All songs written by Farin Urlaub. Großes Album (Büffelherde) (''Big album ( Buffalo herd)'') # " Nichimgriff" (''Notundercontrol'') – 2:46 # "Unscharf" (''Fuzzy'', lit. ''Unsharp'') – 2:55 # "Gobi Todič" – 2:32 # "Seltsam" (''Odd'') – 2:51 # ...

Die Ärzte
Die Ärzte (; ) is a German rock band from Berlin. The band has released 14 studio albums. The group consists of guitarist Farin Urlaub, drummer Bela B and bass player Rodrigo González. All three write and perform their songs. History Early years Die Ärzte were formed in West Berlin in 1982 by Jan Vetter (alias Farin Urlaub, a pun on the expression "Fahr' in Urlaub", meaning "Go on vacation"), Dirk Felsenheimer (alias Bela B, referring to Dracula actor Bela Lugosi) and bassist Hans Runge, alias . Bela and Farin had previously played together in the punk band Soilent Grün, established in 1979 and named after the film ''Soylent Green''. After Soilent Grün broke up in 1982, Bela and Farin decided to form another band. In the first two years (including Sahnie) they mostly played in clubs in their hometown, Berlin. Their first release was a contribution to the sampler ''20 schäumende Stimmungshits'' (rough translation: "20 foamy party hits"), featuring a strong alcohol th ...

Pony
A pony is a type of small horse ('' Equus ferus caballus''). Depending on the context, a pony may be a horse that is under an approximate or exact height at the withers, or a small horse with a specific conformation and temperament. Compared to a larger horse, a pony may have a thicker coat, mane and tail, with proportionally shorter legs, a wider barrel, heavier bone, a thicker neck and a shorter, broader head. The word ''pony'' derives from the old French ''poulenet'', meaning foal, a young, immature horse. Small horses and ponies were traditionally used for riding, driving and as pack beasts. During the Industrial Revolution, particularly in Great Britain, many were used as pit ponies, hauling loads of coal in the mines. In the modern era they may be kept as children's mounts, for recreational or competitive riding or driving, or for cultural or conservation reasons. Ponies are generally considered intelligent and friendly. They are sometimes also described as stubbor ...

Krieg (song)
"Krieg" (''War'') is a song by Farin Urlaub Racing Team. It's the third single and the fifth track from the album ''Die Wahrheit übers Lügen''. The song's themes are commercialism, character of big city people, supply and demand and dominating disposition to anger. The song is sung in the perspective of a man from a big city, who decides to go shopping during a discount, however the demand is higher than supply, which leads to a fight for the products. In the second verse, the man is driving in his new car and a man behind him drives anxiously, flashes lights and honks the horn, probably trying to get past, to which the protagonist replies that he might not have many emotions (maybe three), but anger and wrath are two of them, so again a fight ensues. Music video The video is set in New York City and features FURT playing only on a TV set on a window display of an electronics shop. The plot revolves around two living statues, of whose the second shown sets up a place right ne ...

Bubalus
''Bubalus'' is a genus of Asiatic bovines that was proposed by Charles Hamilton Smith in 1827. ''Bubalus'' and '' Syncerus'' form the subtribe Bubalina, the true buffaloes. The International Code of Zoological Nomenclature and classification of domestic animals as species, subspecies, races or breeds has been discussed controversially for many years and was inconsistent between authors. Assessors of the Food and Agriculture Organization consider domestic water buffalo populations as breeds. ''Bubalus'' species comprise the domestic water buffalo (''B. bubalis''), the wild water buffalo (''B. arnee''), the tamaraw (''B. mindorensis)'', the lowland anoa (''B. depressicornis''), and the mountain anoa (''B. quarlesi''). The latter two anoa species were proposed to form a subgenus within ''Bubalus''. Characteristics Smith described ''Bubalus'' as low in proportion to the bulk with very solid limbs, a small dewlap and a long, slender tail; the head is large with a strong convex-s ...

Reggae
Reggae () is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s. The term also denotes the modern popular music of Jamaica and its diaspora. A 1968 single by Toots and the Maytals, " Do the Reggay" was the first popular song to use the word "reggae", effectively naming the genre and introducing it to a global audience. While sometimes used in a broad sense to refer to most types of popular Jamaican dance music, the term ''reggae'' more properly denotes a particular music style that was strongly influenced by traditional mento as well as American jazz and rhythm and blues, and evolved out of the earlier genres ska and rocksteady. Reggae usually relates news, social gossip, and political commentary. It is instantly recognizable from the counterpoint between the bass and drum downbeat and the offbeat rhythm section. The immediate origins of reggae were in ska and rocksteady; from the latter, reggae took over the use of the bass as a percussion instrument. Reggae is d ...
