Die Höchste Eisenbahn
Die Höchste Eisenbahn is a German band from Berlin, consisting amongst others of the singer-songwriters Francesco Wilking and Moritz Krämer. History The Singer-Songwriter Francesco Wilking – singer of the band Tele (band) – and Moritz Krämer planned a joint gig in Dresden. After more gigs they created the band project ''Die Höchste Eisenbahn.'' The name was chosen because Wilking liked the picture of a "train driving like on stilts". In colloquial German something being "höchste Eisenbahn" indicates that it is urgent. For a tour in fall 2012 they were joined by musicians Max Schröder ( Tomte (band), Olli Schulz) and Felix Weigt and they became part of the band. Moritz Krämer
Moritz Krämer (born 1980 in Basel) is a Swiss indie singer songwriter from Basel who lives in Berlin. History Krämer was born in Switzerland and grew up in southern Bavaria. After graduating from high school in Freiburg, he moved to Berlin. He holds a degree in the subjects of video and language at the Berlin University of the Arts. Krämer worked in Berlin as a composer, lyricist and musical director at various theaters, including the popular stage, Hebbel am Ufer, and the Maxim Gorki Theater. In 2010, Krämer won the TV Noir rocket. Krämer released his debut EP on 1 August 2011, which contains acoustic songs, from earlier that year. Tele (band)
Tele is a German Rock/ Pop-band from Freiburg (now Berlin). Band history Tele produced their debut album ''Tausend und ein Verdacht'' themselves in 2000 before being picked up by Tapete Records a couple years later. Their sound and style consisted of an Indie rock guitar sound, and they arranged their songs in a post rock way. The record company Tapete Records from Hamburg distributed their album in 2002 and published an EP with five new songs. Tapete Records published as well their second album ''Wovon sollen wir leben'' in 2004. This album contains mainly German pop songs with background stories in the texts. In the majority of cases the texts deal with the individual every day life, often with respect to their love affairs. Tomte (band)
Tomte is an indie band from Hamburg, Germany. Their lyrics are almost completely in German and their sound could be described as guitar pop with some punk influences. The group are a part of the “Hamburger Schule” (Hamburg indie “school”) on the basis of the band Tocotronic Tocotronic is a German rock band founded in 1993 (see 1993 in music). Similar to Blumfeld or Die Sterne they are considered a part of the Hamburger Schule (''Hamburg School'') movement. Oliver Marc "Olli" Schulz (born 15 October 1973 in Hamburg) is a German singer-songwriter, actor and presenter.
