Dick N. Lucas
Richard Norcom "Dick" Lucas (July 20, 1920 – August 27, 1997) was an American animator and storyboard artist, noteworthy as part of Walt Disney Productions. Biography Lucas studied at the Chouinard Art Institute, and in 1942, he was hired to work at the Disney Studios based on a personal recommendation from Walt Disney. There, he worked as an inbetweener and character animator on '' The Three Caballeros'' (1944), '' Cinderella'' (1950), ''Alice in Wonderland'' (1951), '' Peter Pan'' (1953), '' Lady and the Tramp'' (1955), '' The Sword in the Stone'' (1963), ''The Jungle Book'' (1967) and '' The Rescuers'' (1977). The Walt Disney Company has produced an anthology television series since 1954 under several titles and formats. The program's current title, ''The Wonderful World of Disney'', was used from 1969 to 1979 and again from 1991 to the present. The program moved among the Big Three television networks in its first four decades, but has aired on ABC since 1997 and Disney+ since 2020. ''Aquamania'' is a 1961 American animated Goofy cartoon produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by Buena Vista Distribution on December 20, 1961. This cartoon was the last from Disney's "Golden Era" which featured Goofy as a solo star, and the first time the xerography animation-technique was used in a Goofy cartoon. ''Aquamania'' basically combined Goofy's three familiar areas in his career: sports, fatherhood, and documentary-subject. Plot The story begins with a narrator explaining a case study of "aquamania" (obsession with boats and boating), with Goofy (called "Mr. X" in this short) as the subject. Then the story switches to Goofy and his son on a boating trip, inadvertently entering a water skiing race. ''Goliath II'' is a 1960 American animated comedy short film produced by Walt Disney Productions. Directed by Wolfgang Reitherman and written by Bill Peet, it is narrated by Sterling Holloway and stars the voices of Kevin Corcoran, Barbara Jo Allen and Paul Frees. Goofy is a cartoon character created by The Walt Disney Company. He is a tall, Anthropomorphism, anthropomorphic dog who typically wears a turtle neck and vest, with pants, shoes, white gloves, and a tall hat originally designed as a rumpled fedora. Nine Old Men
Disney's Nine Old Men were Walt Disney Productions' core animators, some of whom later became directors, who created some of Disney's most famous animated cartoons, from '' Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'' (1937) onward to ''The Rescuers'' (1977), and were referred to as such by Walt Disney himself. They worked in both short films and feature films.
