The 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup was the 20th edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup, the quadrennial international women's football tournament in Asia competed by the national teams in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). India was selected as the host nation by the AFC Women's Football Committee in June 2020. It was the first time that the country hosted the competition since 1979. The Liga 1 Putri (English: ''Women's League One''), is the top-flight women's football league in Indonesia. Supervised by the PSSI, the league is participated by ten clubs, with each side fielding a team in the Liga 1 men's league. The league's inaugural season began on 5 October 2019. The 2019 Liga 1 Putri season was the inaugural season of Liga 1 Putri, the top-flight Indonesian league for women's association football. The season started on 5 October 2019 and finished with two-legged finals on 22 and 28 December 2019. Persib Putri won the title after defeating TIRA-Persikabo Kartini 6–1 on aggregate.
