Di Yee () is one of the 41 constituencies in the Sha Tin District. Created for the 2019 District Council elections, the constituency returns one district councillor to the Sha Tin District Council, with an election every four years. Di Yee loosely covers residential flats in Castello, Greenhill Villa and Shek Mun Estate Phase 2 in Shek Mun. It has projected population of 16,877. 2019 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested. Nearly three million people voted, equivalent to 71 per cent of registered voters, an unprecedented turnout in the electoral history of Hong Kong. The election was widely viewed as a ''de facto'' referendum on the 2019 widespread anti-extradition protests. All pro-Beijing parties suffered major setbacks and losses, including the flagship pro-Beijing party Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB), which received its largest defeat in history, losing 96 seats. The Sha Tin District Council is the district council for the Sha Tin District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Sha Tin District Council currently consists of 42 members, of which the district is divided into 41 constituencies, electing a total of 41 with 1 ''ex officio'' member who is the Sha Tin rural committee chairman. The Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) is a Pro-Beijing camp (Hong Kong), pro-Beijing Conservatism, conservative political party in Hong Kong. Sha Tin District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. As one of the 9 districts located in the New Territories, it covers the areas of Sha Tin, Tai Wai, Ma On Shan, Fo Tan, Siu Lek Yuen, and Ma Liu Shui. It is a HK$20 billion residential-commercial development project by Cheung Kong and MTR Corporation. It is located above the Tai Wai (Station) Maintenance Centre, next to Tai Wai station, which is the interchange station between the East Rail line and the Tuen Ma line of the MTR metro system. The site was formerly occupied by a football court and public bicycle park. However the government needed to build the Ma On Shan Line Depot in 2000, forcing the demolition of all of the facilities. Shek Mun () is an industrial and financial area in Sha Tin City, New Territories of Hong Kong. Shek Mun lies just east of the Shing Mun River, and northeast of the City One apartment and shopping complex. Housing Shek Mun Estate is a public housing estate in Shek Mun, completed in 2009.
