Dhiraj Deshmukh
Dhiraj Vilasrao Deshmukh (born 6 April 1980) is an Indian politician and an MLA of Indian National Congress, and son of Vilasrao Deshmukh. He was elected from the Latur Rural (Vidhan Sabha constituency) to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2019 as a member of the Indian National Congress. He won by a margin of 121482 which is third largest in terms of votes in 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election. Early life He was born as third & youngest son of Vilasrao Deshmukh. Latur
Latur(लातूर) is a city in Indian state of Maharashtra, and is one of the largest cities of the Marathwada region. It is the administrative headquarters of Latur district and Latur Taluka. The city is a tourist hub surrounded by many historical monuments, including Udgir Fort and Kharosa Caves. The people in Latur are called Laturkar. The most spoken language in Latur is Marathi. The Indian Youth Congress is the youth wing of the Indian National Congress party. The Indian Youth Congress was a department of the Indian National Congress from the period just after the Partition of India in 1947 until the late 1960s. 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election
The 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 21 October 2019 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. After a 61.4% turnout in the election, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena (SHS) won a majority. Following differences over the government formation, the alliance was dissolved, precipitating a political crisis.
