Dharinnahtakai
''Dharinnahtakai'' is a 2004 Maldivian romantic drama film directed by Ahmed Nimal. Produced by Ahmed Saleem under Artwaves, the film stars Ali Seezan, Niuma Mohamed, Ahmed Asim and Sheereen Abdul Wahid in pivotal roles. Premise Moonisa (Niuma Mohamed) and Shahid (Ali Seezan) lives a happy life with their daughter Nadhu until Shahid's childhood friend, Junaid (Ahmed Asim) returns from abroad who decides to take revenge on Moonisa for rebuffing his relationship proposal. Moonisa, who is pregnant to their second child visits her mother-in-law while Shahid stays due to his busy work schedule. Junaid's introduces Shahid to his friend Sabeeha (Sheereen Abdul Wahid) and convinces Shahid to hire her as his personal secretary in his factory. Their plan works successfully when Shahid decides to marry Sabeeha and she makes it her life mission to make Moonisa's life miserable. Ali Seezan
Ali Seezan (born 6 February 1977) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, director and producer. He has established a career in Maldives Film Industry and is a recipient of two National Film Awards. Early life Ali Seezan was born on 6 February 1977. His parents Fathimath Waheeda and Abdul Rasheed are not active members of the film industry, though his father has worked in arranging stage shows for many events. He completed his studies at Madhrasathul Ameer Ahmed and Majeediyya School. He is a nephew of Maldivian actor and politician Reeko Moosa Manik. Niuma Mohamed
Niuma Mohamed (pronounced ; 20 October 1977) is a Maldivian film actress, director, and producer. The highest-paid actress in Maldives, Mohamed is the recipient of several awards, including two Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards. She holds the record for collecting all three Maldives Film Awards for Best Actress in a feature film. In 2011, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition. Mohamed was born in Vaadhoo and raised in Male'. Ahmed Asim
Ahmed Asim is an Maldivian actor, editor, director, and writer who works in Dhivehi films. Career Asim made his screen debut with a video single alongside Jamsheedha Ahmed. His first film release was Mohamed Abdul Hakeem and Mohamed Nasheed directed family drama '' Kaiveneege Furathama Rey'' (1999) though he was first offered to play a role Haajara Abdul Kareem-directed ''Ajaaib'' (2000) which was released a year later. In the latter, Asim starred alongside Mariyam Nazima, Koyya Hassan Manik and Waleedha Waleed which depicts the relationship of two exemplary wives and their respective families regardless of societal norms. Sheereen Abdul Wahid is a Maldivian film actress. Career Wahid made her film debut in Ali Shameel's drama film '' Hithi Nimun'' (2001) featuring opposite Mohamed Shavin and Mariyam Nisha, which follows the storyline of a stubborn young man who abandons his girlfriend when he discovers about her pregnancy. Wahid collaborated with Amjad Ibrahim for his romantic horror film ''Dhonkamana'' (2003) which depicts the romantic relationship between a young man (played by Yoosuf Shafeeu) and an old woman (played by Fauziyya Hassan). Easa Shareef
Easa Shareef is a Maldivian film director, actor, screen-writer, editor and lyricist. Career In 1993, Shareef collaborated with Yoosuf Rafeeu for his tragedy drama film '' Vaudhu'' (1993) which narrates the separation of a happy couple due to the societal differences. The following year, he directed and starred in the critically acclaimed film '' Zakham'' (1994) where he played the supportive brother of a young girl who has been forced to marry out of her will. In 1996, he directed the film '' Edhuvas Hingajje'' which follows the love triangle of a devoted wife, a reckless husband and his short tempered mistress. This was followed by Yoosuf Rafeeu's award winning film ''Haqqu'' which revolves around a man who is forced to marry a woman against his will, and stars Mariyam Nisha, Reeko Moosa Manik and Mariyam Shakeela in lead roles. Rafiyath Rameeza
Rafiyath Rameeza (23 March 1976) is a Maldivian singer. Early life Rafiyath Rameeza was born and raised in the "Rameez family" where several artists including Ali Rameez and Ibrahim Rameez were brought up and "ruled" the music industry. At the age of 12, while studying at Aminiya School, she competed in the Television Maldives Interschool Singing Competition and continued to participate in the same competition for more years. In 1993, at the age of seventeen, while studying at Malé English School, Rameeza performed the song "Kaakuhey Mithaahuree" in the competition which fetched the award for best performer from her age category and was ranked in the second place of the competition.
