The discography of Devo, an American new wave band formed in 1973, consists of 25 singles and 9 studio albums. Devo was founded by Gerald Casale, Bob Lewis and Mark Mothersbaugh. Devo currently consists of brothers Mark Mothersbaugh (synthesizers, guitar, lead vocals) and Bob Mothersbaugh (lead guitar, lead and backing vocals), Gerald Casale (bass guitar, keyboards, lead and backing vocals), Josh Hager (rhythm guitar, keyboards) and Josh Freese (drums). The band rose to prominence in the US during the new wave era with their single " Whip It". The band have released nine studio albums, ten extended plays, fourteen compilation albums, ten live albums, one soundtrack album and twenty-five singles. Before signing a record contract with Warner Bros. in the US, the band released several singles on the independent Stiff Records label that charted in the UK. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. The Vandals are an American punk rock band, established in 1980 in Orange County, California. Voodoo Glow Skulls are an American ska punk band formed in 1988 in Riverside, California, by brothers Frank, Eddie, and Jorge Casillas and their longtime friend Jerry O'Neill. Voodoo Glow Skulls first played at backyard parties and later at Spanky's Café in their hometown of Riverside, where they played shows with the Angry Samoans, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Firehose, Murphy's Law, and The Dickies. The Aquabats
The Aquabats are an American rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1994. Throughout many fluctuations in the group's line-up, singer the MC Bat Commander and bassist Crash McLarson have remained the band's two constant fixtures. Since 2006, the Aquabats' members also include keyboardist Jimmy the Robot, drummer Ricky Fitness and guitarist Eaglebones Falconhawk. Easily identified by their masks and matching costumes, the Aquabats are perhaps most recognized for their comedic persona in which they claim to be crime-fighting superheroes. ''Something for Everybody'' is the ninth studio album by American new wave band Devo. It was originally released in June 2010 (being their first studio album in two decades, since 1990's ''Smooth Noodle Maps'') on their original label Warner Bros., and was their first issued on that label since their sixth studio album '' Shout'' in 1984. The album was recorded between July 2007 and mid-2009, at Mutato Muzika, in West Hollywood, California. The album is the last Devo album to feature Bob Casale, who died in February 2014. The album cover depicts a woman the band refers to as the "Sexy Candy Dome Girl", portrayed by the Russian model and musician Natasha Romanova of the band Discrete Encounter, holding a miniature blue energy dome to her mouth. "Watch Us Work It" is a single by the US new wave band Devo, produced by Teddybears. It was originally released in 2007, and was featured in a commercial for Dell. It was subsequently re-released, on vinyl, in 2008. The song was included on the deluxe version of the band's ninth studio album ''Something for Everybody'' which was released on June 15, 2010. The song features a sample drum track from "The Super Thing" from Devo's 1981 album ''New Traditionalists''. The band announced in a July 23, 2007, MySpace bulletin that a full-length music video would be created, and the song itself is now available on iTunes and eMusic. Gerald Casale said that this song was chosen from a batch that the band was working on. The music video was released in September 2007, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, and is an extended version of the Dell commercial, without product shots. Jihad Jerry & The Evildoers
Jihad Jerry & the Evildoers is the solo project of American musician Gerald Casale, best known as a founding member and "chief strategist" of the new wave band Devo. Jihad Jerry also includes contributions from fellow Devo members Mark Mothersbaugh, Bob Mothersbaugh and Bob Casale, Jerry's brother. It also features drummer Josh Freese, who had toured with Devo before becoming a member of the band. Jihad Jerry & the Evildoers play in a hard, blues-influenced style. Their debut album includes newly recorded versions of several songs from the ''Hardcore Devo''-era of Devo's recordings.
