Devika
Devika Devadoss (born Prameela Devi) (25 April 1943 – 2 May 2002) was an Indian actress who worked in Tamil, Telugu with few Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi film industry. She was a popular lead actress in the 1960s. Devika is the grand daughter of Telugu cinema doyen and pioneer Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu. One of her uncles was a Mayor of Chennai. Actress Kanaka is her daughter. Film career In Tamil, she has acted with all major heroes of the day. In ''Mudhalali'', an AVM film, in which she made her debut, she paired with S. S. Rajendran. ''Nenjil Or Aalayam'' () is a 1962 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed, produced and written by C. V. Sridhar. The film stars Kalyan Kumar, Devika and R. ''Mudhalali'' () is a 1957 Indian Tamil-language drama film, the directorial debut of Muktha Srinivasan and written by Venkat Ramanujam. The film was produced by M. A. Venu under M. A. V. Pictures. ''Paava Mannippu'' () is a 1961 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and edited by A. Bhimsingh, who co-produced it under his banner Buddha Pictures, with AVM Productions. Kanaka is a former Indian actress. Personal life Kanaka is the daughter of Tamil actress Devika. She is also the great-granddaughter of Telugu cinema's first sound film's producer Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu.
