''The Ideal Crash'' is the third studio album by Belgian rock band dEUS, released in March 1999. The album was recorded in Spain, U.K. and Belgium and was mixed at Olympic Studios and includes the single "Instant Street", which became an underground hit in Europe. It was produced and mixed by David Bottrill. ''The Ideal Crash'' was the first dEUS album to be directly released through a major label ( Island Records) but it's also the only dEUS album that didn't get a US release. The album cover art is the first dEUS CD cover that does not feature a painting by ex-guitar player Rudy Trouvé. Commercial performance ''The Ideal Crash'' was issued to immediate success in Belgium, obtaining a gold certification for sales of 25,000 copies after one week of release. By April 2008, ''The Ideal Crash'' had sold about 250,000 copies. The singles "Instant Street" and "Sister Dew" entered the UK Singles Chart, peaking at numbers 49 and 62 respectively. ''In a Bar, Under the Sea'' is the second studio album by Belgian rock band Deus. The cover art was designed by guitarist Rudy Trouvé. The original Belgian release was by Bang!, with the only difference that track 14 is simply named "Roses", like the single. The album was produced by Eric Drew Feldman (who was keyboard and bass player for Captain Beefheart in the late seventies and early eighties) and welcomes guests such as Scott McCloud from Girls Against Boys (on ''Fell Off the Floor, Man''), Dana Colley from Morphine (on ''Supermarketsong'') and Bart Maris from X-Legged Sally (on ''Nine Threads''). UK Albums Chart
The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. The Dutch Album Top 100 or Album Top 100 is a weekly hit list of music albums, compiled by Dutch Charts. List shows the 100 best-selling music albums of the moment in the Netherlands. The list has passed through various name changes and has expanded from a Top 10 to a Top 100. Names Album chart by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40'' From 1969 to 1999, an alternative weekly album chart was published by offshore radio station Radio Veronica (1969-1974) and the '' Stichting Nederlandse Top 40'' (1974-1999). This chart varied in length from a top 20 (1969-1971 and from 1972 to 1974) to a top 50 (1971-1972 and 1974–1985), a top 75 (1985-1991) and a top 100 (1991-1999). This album chart was regarded by many as the official one, since it was widely published while the chart listed above was not (not until 1993). ''My Sister Is My Clock'' is an EP released by the Belgian band dEUS in 1995 with the songs that did not make the 1994 LP '' Worst Case Scenario''. It was recorded and mixed at Caraibes in Brussels in August 1994, and edited at the Pingstudio in Ghent. It was produced by the duo Vermeersch/Vervloesem, who also played guitar, piano, bass, and drums on some of the songs. On the CD all the music is in a single track lasting over 25 minutes. Bang! Records is a Spanish label from Basque Country formed in 1998 by Gorka Munster and Juan-Mari Iturrarte. The label has a primary focus on artists from Melbourne, Australia and New York City's swamp, noise and punk blues music scene. Acts among the Bang! Following Sea
A following sea refers to a wave direction that is similar to the heading of a waterborne vessel under way. The word "sea" in this context refers to open water wind waves. In the strict sense, a following sea has a direction of propagation between 15° either side of vessel heading, and has a celerity that does not exceed the velocity of the vessel in the direction of wave propagation. PIAS Recordings (formerly Play It Again Sam) is a Belgian record label founded in 1983 by Kenny Gates and Michel Lambot. Play It Again Sam expanded along with other European independent labels in the early 1980s. Play It Again Sam's prominent early artists were electronic-rock acts like Front 242, Meat Beat Manifesto and The Young Gods. They later added artists such as The Sound, Soulwax/2ManyDJ's, Sigur Rós and Mogwai.
