Detlef Esapa Osong
Detlef Esapa Osong (born 21 September 2004) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Nottingham Forest. Club career Esapa Osong joined Nottingham Forest as a youth in 2017 from grassroots football in Leicestershire, and worked his way up their youth sides. He had a prolific start with the club's U18s in the 2022–23 season, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances. He signed his first professional contract with the club on 6 January 2022. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them.
