Detective Investigation Files
Detective Investigation Files is a 1995 Hong Kong crime investigation drama series produced by Poon Ka Tak for TVB and is the first installment in the Detective Investigation Files Series. The main characters were played by Michael Tao, Joey Leung, Kenix Kwok and Louisa So. This installment featured five different cases. In 2022, the drama was selected as one of ten classic TVB dramas being honoured for Youku and TVB's new programme. Synopsis Cops Yung (Michael Tao) and Yee (Leung Wing Chung) were good friends as well as partners. Their shrewdness and intelligence helped break many mysterious murder cases such as ‘Love Suicide’, ‘Chopped Corpse’, ‘Murderer Vs Victim’. Yung and Yee shared their worries over love too. Yung's girlfriend Chi (Kwan Po Wai) jilted Yung to go after Yee when she learned about Yee's wealth. Michael Tao
Michael Tao Dai Yu (, born 26 August 1963) is a Hong Kong television actor. Career Tao entered the acting industry in the 1980s, affiliating with TVB. It was during this period that Tao earned the name "Housewife Killer" due to his overwhelming popularity amongst housewives (who arguably constitute a majority of television viewing audiences in Hong Kong), solidifying his position as a first tier television actor in TVB. Tao later moved over to rival ATV in 1997 after problems over his contract with TVB. His ATV series Flaming Brothers defeated the TVB rival show at the time, a landmark for ATV. Apart from filming ATV series, Tao has also filmed in China and Singapore. He returned to TVB in 2004 and has starred in a number of television series since. Once again, problems with his contract resulted in Tao leaving TVB in 2009 and worked mostly in mainland China and occasionally in Hong Kong. Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) is a television broadcasting company based in Hong Kong SAR. The Company operates five free-to-air terrestrial television channels in Hong Kong, with TVB Jade as its main Cantonese language service, and TVB Pearl as its main English service. TVB is headquartered at TVB City at the Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate. TVB commenced broadcasting on November 19, 1967. Gary Chan Hak-kan, BBS, JP (born 24 April 1976) is a current member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. He represents the New Territories North East constituency and is a member of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) political party. Derek Kok Jing-hung (, born 18 November 1964) is a Hong Kong actor who had worked for TVB from 1986 to 2015. He filmed over 70 dramas. He is specialised in action and Chinese Kung Fu performance. Career His career started when he entered the New Talent Singing Awards in 1985. Angie Cheong Wai-yee is a Hong Kong-based Malaysian Chinese actress. She won the Miss Chinese Malaysia in 1992 and went to Hong Kong to compete for the Miss Chinese International in 1993. Gregory Charles Rivers
Gregory Charles Rivers (; born 30 April 1965) is an Australian–Hong Kong actor. Biography Rivers hails from Gympie, Queensland, and attended medical school at University of New South Wales, where he was friends with students from Hong Kong who introduced him to Cantopop. After discontinuing his medical degree, he moved to Hong Kong. Two weeks after he landed, he ran into some band members of Alan Tam, whose driver he had been during a Sydney visit, and was invited to sing with him.
