Derrick Frazier
Derrick Lothair Frazier (born April 29, 1970) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 1993 NFL Draft and played for the team from 1993 to 1995. He played for the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys in 1996. He played college football at Texas A&M. Professional career Frazier was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round (75th overall) of the 1993 NFL Draft with a pick obtained from the Houston Oilers in a trade. On July 14, 1993, Frazier signed two one-year contracts with the team with an option year. While competing for the starting left cornerback job in the preseason, he injured his right knee during an American Bowl loss to the New Orleans Saints in Tokyo on July 31. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. The 1995 NFL season was the 76th regular season of the National Football League. The league expanded to 30 teams with the addition of the Carolina Panthers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The two expansion teams were slotted into the two remaining divisions that previously had only four teams (while the other four had five teams): the AFC Central (Jaguars) and the NFC West (Panthers). Meanwhile, the two teams in Los Angeles relocated to other cities: the Rams transferred to St. Louis and the Raiders moved back to Oakland; this would be the start of a 20-year absence for the NFL in Los Angeles. During the course of the season it emerged that the Cleveland Browns would relocate to Baltimore for the 1996 season. Eric Allen
Eric Andre Allen (born November 22, 1965) is an American football coach and former cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, and Oakland Raiders from 1988 to 2001. A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Allen retired from football after the 2001 season and is currently an NFL analyst for Pac-12 Networks. In his NFL career, he recorded 54 interceptions for 827 yards and eight touchdowns, while also recovering seven fumbles. His 54 interceptions ties him for 21st in NFL history. To honor the NFL's 75th season, a special anniversary logo was designed and each player wore a patch on their jerseys with this logo throughout the season.
