Dr Irving Francis McIntyre is a Dominican politician and doctor and current cabinet minister. His educational background include training in St. Mary's Academy and Indira Gandhi Medical College (1996). McIntyre served as medical officer at the Princess Margaret Hospital's accident and emergency department from 1999 to 2010. He then started private practice, and as general practitioner, he has also provided free clinics to patients. Eugenia Charles
Dame Mary Eugenia Charles, (15 May 1919 – 6 September 2005) was a Dominican politician who was Prime Minister of Dominica from 21 July 1980 until 14 June 1995. The first female lawyer in Dominica, she was Dominica's first, and to date only, female prime minister. She was the second female prime minister in the Caribbean after Lucina da Costa of the Netherlands Antilles. She was the first female in the Americas to be elected in her own right as head of government. She served for the second longest period of any Dominican prime minister, and was the world's fourth longest-serving female Prime Minister, behind Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, Sirimavo Bandaranaike of Sri Lanka and Indira Gandhi of India. Roosevelt Skerrit (born 8 June 1972) is a Dominican politician who has been Prime Minister of Dominica since 2004; he has also been the Member of Parliament for the Vieille Case constituency since 2000. Regionally, he has served as the chairman of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and most recently as chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in 2010. Francis Osborne Riviere (1932 – 23 November 2017) was Foreign Minister of Dominica. He became the foreign minister in 2001, replacing the prime minister, Pierre Charles. Pierre Charles (Dominican Politician)
Pierre Charles (30 June 1954 – 6 January 2004) was Prime Minister of Dominica from 2000 to 2004 as well as Member of Parliament for Grand Bay, Dominica, from 1985 until his death. Biography Charles was born in Grand Bay in Saint Patrick parish. He began his high-school education at the Dominica Grammar School and completed it at the St. Mary's Academy before pursuing studies at the local teachers' college. He served as a teacher and community organizer before entering elective office. He became ill in February 2003, and had angioplasty surgery. Concerns about his health led to calls for him to step down. However, he continued to serve as prime minister until his death, which occurred during a medical leave of absence. Charles Maynard was a Dominican politician and cabinet minister from Dominica Freedom Party. Maynard was born on 18 January 1934 in Roseau. He was educated in the University of the West Indies, the University College of Wales at Aberystwyth and the University of Oxford, England. Back in Dominica, he worked as civil servant. During the summer 1979 political turmoil, Maynard was appointed minister of education in the cabinet of Oliver Seraphin. He resigned from the cabinet in January 1980. Anthony Moise was a Dominican politician and cabinet minister from Dominica Freedom Party. Moise was 74 years old in August 1980, so he was born about 1905–1907. He was a farmer and builder from the southern village of Soufrière. Moise was first elected to the Legislative Council of Dominica in 1961 as an independent and 1966 as a Dominica United People's Party candidate.
