Deniz Barış
Deniz Barış (born 2 July 1977) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder or centre-back. Career Born in Kemah, Turkey, Barış played for SV Este 06/70 in his youth. He had an important role when FC St. Pauli was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2001. After his years at St. Pauli, he attracted the attention of the Gençlerbirliği chairman İlhan Cavcav and he was transferred to Gençlerbirliği. In Gençlerbirliği's UEFA Cup campaign, he was one of the most influential players of the team. His team defeated European clubs such as Blackburn Rovers and Sporting CP. In 2004, Fenerbahçe's chairman signed Barış to his team paying one of the Gençlerbirliği's record transfer fees. Barış was a member of the Turkey national team's squad at the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup. Antalyaspor
Antalyaspor Kulübü is a Turkish professional football club located in the city of Antalya. The club's colours are red and white. They play their home matches at the Antalya Stadium. In Turkey, the club won the First League twice in 1982 and 1986 and finished as runners-up for the Turkish Cup in 2000 and in 2021. Kadıköy (), known in classical antiquity and during the Roman and Byzantine eras as Chalcedon ( gr, Χαλκηδών), is a large, populous, and cosmopolitan district in the Asian side of Istanbul, Turkey, on the northern shore of the Sea of Marmara. The FIFA Confederations Cup was an international association football tournament for men's national teams, held every four years by FIFA. The Turkish Super Cup ( Turkish: ''TFF Süper Kupa''), as it is currently known, is the annual super cup football match contested between the previous season's Süper Lig champions and the Turkish Cup winners in Turkey. The 2006–07 Süper Lig was the 49th edition of the top-flight professional football league in Turkey. The season began on 4 August 2006 with a match between Ankaraspor and Galatasaray, resulting in a 1–1 draw. Fenerbahçe became champions after drawing Trabzonspor 2–2, while Beşiktaş lost 3–0 to Bursaspor and Galatasaray drew 1–1 with Sivasspor. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923.
