Deniz Barut (born 29 March 1983) is a Turkish film and television actress. Life and career Deniz Barut was born on 29 March 1983 in Denizli. She finished her primary and secondary education in Denizli before moving to İzmir to pursue her passion for volleyball in high school. She is a graduate of Bahçeşehir University School of Communications with a degree in photography and video making. Her photographs were later shown at different exhibitions in Turkey. In 1997, she took part in the beauty contest Elite Model Look, where she ranked second. In 2000, she stopped playing volleyball in a professional capacity and moved to Istanbul. She began taking speech and diction lessons at Can Gürzap's Dialog Institute. She also took acting lesson at Şahika Tekand's acting academy, Stüdyo Oyuncuları. Denizli is an industrial city in the southwestern part of Turkey and the eastern end of the alluvial valley formed by the river Büyük Menderes, where the plain reaches an elevation of about . Fox is one of the leading free to air TV networks broadcasting in Turkey. Since July 2012, Fox TV broadcasts in 16:9.
