John Deng Geu (born January 1, 1997) is a Ugandan professional basketball player for SVBD of the LNB Pro B. He played college basketball for the North Dakota State Bison and the North Texas Mean Green. Early life Geu was born in a refugee camp in Uganda as a son of South Sudanese parents. At age 6, he relocated to North Dakota. College career In April 2019, Deng Geu left North Dakota State Bison men's basketball team. The Dinka people ( din, Jiɛ̈ɛ̈ŋ) are a Nilotic ethnic group native to South Sudan with a sizable diaspora population abroad. The Dinka mostly live along the Nile, from Jonglei to Renk, in the region of Bahr el Ghazal, Upper Nile (two out of three Provinces which were formerly located in southern Sudan), and the Abyei Area of the Ngok Dinka in South Sudan. The 2019 FIBA AfroCan was the inaugural edition of the AfroCan, a men's basketball continental competition of Africa. The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification was the first FIBA Basketball World Cup, World Cup for which teams had to qualify for under the new qualification system. The process determined 31 out of the 32 teams that participated at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
