Democrats (Croatia)
The Democrats ( hr, Demokrati) are a Centre-left politics, centre-left List of political parties in Croatia, Croatian political party headed by Mirando Mrsić. The party was founded on the 20 October 2018 in Zagreb. It was officially registered with the Ministry of Public Administration (Croatia), Ministry of Public Administration on 27 November 2018. According to the party, their program is based on a "long-term, stable, sustainable development of Croatia. The party was part of the Amsterdam Coalition, an electoral alliance of seven Croatia liberal political parties, that participated in the 2019 European Parliament election in Croatia. Mirando Mrsić
Mirando Mrsić (born 14 October 1959) is a Croatian physician and politician who served as a Minister of Labour and Pension System in the centre left Government of Zoran Milanović from 23 December 2011 until 22 January 2016. Mrsić was born in Split, Croatia, Split on 14 October 1959. After finishing elementary and high school in Makarska, he enrolled at the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Zagreb School of Medicine from which he graduated in 1983. He received Ph.D. in biomedical sciences in 2000. Mrsić specialized in hematology. He was the campaign manager of the successful Croatian presidential election, 2009-2010, 2009-10 presidential campaign of Ivo Josipović. Mrsić was expelled from the Social Democratic Party of Croatia, Social Democratic Party in March 2018. In October 2018, he founded a new political party, the Democrats ( hr, Demokrati). An electoral alliance (also known as a bipartisan electoral agreement, electoral pact, electoral agreement, electoral coalition or electoral bloc) is an association of political party, political parties or individuals that exists solely to stand in elections. Lista is a former municipality located in the old Vest-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. The administrative centre was the village of Vanse where Vanse Church is located. Lista municipality was historically known as the municipality of ''Vanse'' until 1911. The former municipality's land is now located in the present-day municipality of Farsund in Agder county. Farsund Airport, Lista is located here, but it has not had any regularly scheduled commercial flights since 1999; however, there are discussions to use it as a base for offshore operations. The Croatian Labourists – Labour Party ( hr, Hrvatski laburisti - Stranka rada) is a social-democratic and democratic socialist political party in Croatia. It was formed in 2010 by a former trade unionist and People's Party MP Dragutin Lesar, who was the party's only member of parliament in the 6th assembly. In the 2011 parliamentary election, the party won six seats in the Croatian Parliament. 2020 Croatian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Croatia on 5 July 2020. They were the tenth parliamentary elections since the first multi-party elections in 1990 and elected the 151 members of the Croatian Parliament. 140 Members of Parliament were elected from geographical electoral districts in Croatia, three MPs were chosen by the Croatian diaspora and eight MPs came from the ranks of citizens registered as belonging to any of the 22 constitutionally recognized national minorities. LGBT Rights In Croatia
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights in Croatia have expanded in recent years, but LGBT persons may still face some legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. The status of same-sex relationships was first formally recognized in 2003 under a law dealing with unregistered cohabitations. As a result of a 2013 referendum, Croatia's Constitution defines marriage solely as a union between a woman and man, effectively prohibiting same-sex marriage. Since the introduction of the Life Partnership Act in 2014, same-sex couples have effectively enjoyed rights equal to heterosexual married couples in almost all of its aspects.
