Democratic Trade Union Confederation Of Romania
The Democratic Trade Union Confederation of Romania (''Confederaţia Sindicatelor Democratice din România'', CSDR) is a national trade union center in Romania. It was formed in 1994 in a split with the National Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Romania (CNSLR). Victor Ciorbea, the first president of the CSDR, went on to become Prime Minister of Romania in 1996. The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) is the major trade union organisation representing workers at the European level. In its role as a European social partner, the ETUC works both in a consulting role with the European Commission and negotiates agreements and work programmes with European employers. Jacob (; ; ar, يَعْقُوب, Yaʿqūb; gr, Ἰακώβ, Iakṓb), later given the name Israel, is regarded as a patriarch of the Israelites and is an important figure in Abrahamic religions, such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Jacob first appears in the Book of Genesis, where he is described as the son of Isaac and Rebecca, and the grandson of Abraham, Sarah, and Bethuel.
