The Party of Democratic Socialism ( cs, Strana demokratického socialismu; SDS) was a democratic socialist political party in the Czech Republic. It was a founding member party of the Party of the European Left. The party has its name since December 1997. It's the political unification of SDL (Party of the Democratic Left) and LB (Left Block) that took place in June 1997. In the beginning the party had the name LB-SDL. Vietnamese Democratic Socialist Party
The Viet Nam Democratic Socialist Party ( vi, Đảng Dân chủ Xã hội Việt Nam) was a political party in South Vietnam. History It was founded in 1944 by Huỳnh Phú Sổ, the founder of Hòa Hảo. The party was formed through the unity of a sector of socialist-minded people in Saigon and some provincial sect leaders. The party was persecuted by the Việt Minh. Huỳnh Phú Sổ was killed by the Việt Minh in 1947, after which the party was dissolved. In February 1955, General Nguyễn Giác Ngộ of Hòa Hảo claimed that the party had been revived. The Sammarinese Independent Democratic Socialist Party ( it, Partito Socialista Democratico Indipendente Sammarinese, PSDIS) was a social-democratic political party in San Marino. Its Italian counterpart was the Italian Democratic Socialist Party. It was founded on 14 April 1957 following a split from the Sammarinese Socialist Party (PSS), which emerged when Alvaro Casali, secretary of PSS and editor of ''Il Nuovo Titano'' was expelled from that party. The issue behind the split was that the minority around Casali wanted to break the cooperation between PSS and the Sammarinese Communist Party (PCS). Five other members of the Grand and General Council (including Domenico Forcellini, Giuseppe Forcellini, Federico Micheloni and Pio Galassi) followed Casali, and the group merged with the Sammarinese Democratic Socialist Party to form the PSDIS. The Democratic Socialists '70 ( nl, Democratisch Socialisten '70, DS'70) was a social-democratic political party in the Netherlands. History DS'70 was founded on 4 April 1970 as the result of a split from the Labour Party (PvdA). In June 1970, Frans Goedhart and Wybrand Schuitemaker, two members of the House of Representatives, left the PvdA and became members of DS'70 because of the anti-American position the PvdA had taken in the Vietnam War. They had previously been frustrated by its cooperation with other left-wing parties such as the Pacifist Socialist Party and its left-wing fiscal policy.
